Dad learned morse code in the RAF and worked the airwaves in Burma aged just 18.
He never lost his interest in radio, and was a member, and at one time president, of the Worksop club.
Passed away aged 95 in October 2020.
He encouraged me to get my G6 licence while I was at college, though I confess I haven't kept it up, and I never mastered morse code, despite being in awe of what could be achieved with a simple stream of dots and dashes.
He loved so much to communicate with people - face to face, and on the airwaves. So if you're one of the thousands of call signs that worked with him, thank you for making his life richer.
