Solid State 6 Meter Amp  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
Bought this new from DNJ Radio in California Hooked it up and made a nice double hop E Skip contact back East. Things looked fine, however, unlike the advertised 200 watts PEP @ 20 watts input, I only saw about 135w Out on PEP Meter. Not any better than the Mirage or TE 150 w 6 meter amps in the catagory. However, you get what you pay for when buying from a company notorius for their 11 meter stuff, it was no wonder. After 1st QSO, TX lite started to hang and stay dimly lit during RX. Played with it some more and decided to send it back to DNJ Radio. RMITALY is a poorly built amp. The VLA-150 also had huge SO-239 Mount gaping holes with 2 screws, leaving holes open to the inside of the amp. Maybe I didn't see the best of this amp, but it's cheaply built, even though it worked for a bit. Also, amp does not incude any fused cords. I felt like I was buying a second hand homebrew from a Hamfest.
