Excellent addition to my home lab  Time owned: 6 to 12 months
The DA1-4HL is a great piece of gear for your home test lab if you need to distribute a 10.000 MHz reference signal to multiple test devices (e.g. frequency counter, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, etc.).

I received the kit from Dave, G4HUP and it took me a few hours to put together the PCB. Be advised that all components are surface mount, so if your hands aren't steady or you don't have the right soldering equipment, you shouldn't attempt the kit.

Since I don't have any machining equipment, I found the case to be a little trickier. The case consists of the chassis and two end plates with screws. The only holes are for the screws, so the holes for the RF connectors must be machined/drilled. I ended up mangling one of the end plates, but Dave was kind enough to send me two new plates for a very reasonable fee.

As with any distribution amp, you should plan on using 50 ohm terminators for any unused RF ports. These don't come with the kit, so you'll need to use your own or purchase the quantity needed elsewhere.

I have no issues with the design or implementation of this distribution amp. For the price, you simply can't beat it.

Great  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
E-mailed and found there was an assembled version for GBP 70.40 including shipping to the US. Ordered it and was advised 7-10 days. On the 10th day it arrived. The picture is the actual unit. Looks very nice and works well. Using a HP3801A as a source which measured 7.66 dBm output. The output was from 11.76 on Ch1 to 11.88 on CH4. All unused outputs terminated in 50 ohms. An easy and affordable solution to using the 3801A as a 10 mHz reference for test equipment around the shop.

Well pleased.
