Very good indeed  Time owned: 6 to 12 months
I use the Gemini 23 driven by a Kenwood TS-2000X through LMR600 coax to a Wimo 44 at 45ft/14m and it works well, giving about 150 watts into the antenna. This is enough for me to have QSOs at 200 mile range and get 5/4 reports under flat conditions from people with similar setups (and my QTH is at 420ft/120m ASL in a poor to average location) so I'm happy! As others have said, the Gemini range of amps are designed and put together to an extremely high standard. If I were to quibble, I'd say the LEDs used in the display are a bit bright and as N2SLO says, soldering the six pin mini din connector, to configure power to a pre-amp up the coax, is not easy.

Perfect for my needs  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
I was in need of a 1296mhz amplifier. Choices are limited- Beko makes a 400 watt and an 800 watt which are built like tanks but cost $$$$$$$$$$$. I found Gemini- made in the UK. The DX-shop in the UK carries a full line of VHF/UHF amps. The Gemini 23 is rated 200 or so watts with 8 watts in. This amp is perfect for my Icom 9100. The amp works well- audio and signal reports are a big improvement with 125-150 watts vs. 6-8 watts. Only improvement would be to change the over the coax voltage set up. You can run 13.8 over coax by configuring a 6 pin mini din connector- attaching to an ACC1 socket on the back of the amp and hitting the preamp switch on the front panel. I tried to solder up the connector - brutal, and I gave up. I configured a direct voltage feed to my mast mounted SHF pre-amp, with monster cable (RCA) and RG58. The direct voltage works great. In summary, a very good plug and play solution. Roger at the DX-shop is a professional- and provides excellent customer support.
