rugged amplifier  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
Finally it's in my hand. Some days ago I've received my new RAKE 802. At the moment is really soon for to write my opinion about this amplifier, but seems to work really well.
If you look at the cabinet (without see the mark on the front panel) is equal at my old RAKE 800. But the difference is inside. 2, instead single 3cx800.
This new 802 have also 1 led that say when the warm up is terminated, and a double effect switch on the panel for to reset the protection.
Really simple to obtain high power, with low drive, with my IC 765.
Anyway for italian hams, who want to buy a rugged amplifier, (with this couple of tubes), and spent the same price, that you can spent when you bought a second hand american amplifier, this is the right machine for us.
Also, I've checked the wattmeter inside, and is really precise, on line with coaxial dynamic 83000A.
Next rewiev after, little bit of knowledge on this dx machine.
