Reviews Summary for DX Engineering TB-300 Thrust Bearing
DX Engineering TB-300 Thrust Bearing Reviews: 1 Average rating: 5.0/5 MSRP: $149.95
Description: DX Engineering TB-300 Advanced Design Thrust Bearings
have a newly engineered bearing race that doesn't bind
and keeps the enclosed chrome-steel ball bearings very
clean. Compared with other tower mast thrust bearings,
our bearings are firm and strong, cast from high-strength
aluminum, and precision machined with a silky smooth
rotation. The TB-300 is used for masts of up to 2 in.
outside diameter. They are compatible with tower bearing
plates for ROHN or Amerite towers.
Product is in production.

Silky-smooth rotation indeed!  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
Just purchased this thrust bearing a couple weeks ago and have yet to mount it on my tower. However, from examining it, it appears to be very well made and is simply a piece of art! It is by no means light-weight even though its cast aluminum. The bearing turns without much effort at all and is simply smooth as silk in its rotation. They provide you with mounting hardware too: galvanized bolts to attach this to the tower and stainless steel bolts that torque the mast down. As always, it was packaged very well and shipped fast! The new design appears to be well thought out and I hope it holds up for years to come.

Now, if DX Engineering would produce a PVC/rubber boot to protect this from the elements, that would be awesome!
