Good for price  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
Saw this radio on Amazon for a great price and decided to check it out. I'm familiar with a variety of the the Baofeng radios and this guy is impressive for the cost. There is now a dash 2 version which improves on looks, gives complete volume control (down to no volume) and more battery capacity. The OEM software is a weak point and it is not supported on CHIRP. The OEM software is very basic and a little quirky with no import capability. Output power on mine was 6 watts on 2m and 5 on 70cm. So in several aspects it seems better than a UV-5r.

Good value for money  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
FOund this interesting radio. Looks similar to UV-5R but definitely not a UV-5R by long shot.

Did a parallel test of UV-82 and UV-R50.

Shipped and received via below for under 29$.

Build is really much cleaner and more hardier than cheap plastic of baofeng. Sensitivity and selectivity is definitely a huge performance improvement; Baofeng is deaf where QS is able to pick up clearly without any problem and no noise either.

Battery life is stellar and scanning is fast. A big jump from Baofeng. Display is clean and crispy vs Baofeng with better colour and contrast.

I have not tried Chirp yet but did not see this referenced there under milkor site.

Very pleased with this great addition. Will recommend as alternative to Baofeng.
