Excellent outdoor scanner antenna  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
Just bought a new Whistler TRX-1 scanner and wanted to get a decent outdoor antenna to increase the range. Did some research and found the DPD Omni-X antenna.

I have mine set up at the roof peak 25 feet up above the ground.

It receives signals all the way from Warren, Ohio which is about 50 miles from the house. I am getting APCO P25 I&II signals that stay readable where the rubber duck and comet portable antenna cannot receive or very bad copy.

This antenna is built extremely well and it is very light. It was very easy to install and DPD Productions offers cable systems to install this antenna. I highly recommend this scanner antenna. It does exactly what it is supposed to do.....receive signals and survive bad weather.
