Good performance after tweaking  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
I tried one of these mounted on the hatch glass of a 2002 Honda Odyssey.
At first the SWR was about 2:1 with the coax just laying on the floor and varied
all over the place as I touched the radio or SWR meter. I tried grounding the
inside coax at the antenna with no luck. (well, there was no variation but the
SWR was 3:1) Next I put a clip-on choke over the coax. I finally ended up with
the choke by the middle seat and had to stuff the coax under the side & door
trim to get the SWR down to 1.5.:1. But now it seems stable and though not
quite as good as a 5/8 wave does better than I ever expected a glass antenna
would. I can run 50W OK with no noticable heating or output limiting by the radio.
BTW, the sticky tape _really_ sticks! You may want to put a drop of superglue
around the rim of the antenna swiivel base as mine would loosen up when
backing out of the garage and the antenna would hit the door.

Excellent glass mount antenna.  Time owned: 3 to 6 months
I purchased this antenna when I got my FT-1500M. The antenna is a great design, and works great to, the SWR is nearly undetectable. When I first got it, I was very skeptical, but I have been nothing but impressed ever since. It works as well as the 1/2 magnetic mount that I have!

The coupling transformer goes on the inside of the car, and the angle of the base the element screws into can be adjusting from about +80 degrees to about -80 degrees (I'm guesstimating).

All-in-all an excellent antenna!
