One of the best  Time owned: 6 to 12 months
Bought two of them 2nd hand and they tune both my 707 and 101zd perfectly.
Users need to have a touch like a midwife for best results however, but I perfected this years ago.
Hoping for many more trouble free years from these beauties

Well built impedance match box  Time owned: more than 12 months
I agree with the reviews here, it is well built and does the job.
However; this is not an antenna tuner, it is what I call an impedance match box. It can correct SWR mismatches from up to 1:3 back to 1:1. It can NOT tune random antennas like a real ATU can do this, the used antenna connector on the FC-707(SO239) and the distance between the variable capacitor plates (less than half a millimeter) will not allow for that. Nor can it regain the added cable losses for you that will be caused by having an SWR of 1:3 on your coaxial antenna feeder, even when you match it back to 1:1 at the rig using this unit.
And yes, that is not a particular shortcoming of just this unit, that is the case for ALL those ham match boxes, including the automatic ones built into the rigs nowadays.
If you want a real antenna tuner, you need the ones that can handle impedances much higher than 250 ohms. Like the Palstars, the SGC ATUs or the waterprood Icom ATUs for outdoor remote use.

Nice little thing !  Time owned: more than 12 months
Bought mine 10 years ago second hand from a Ham who used it since 1981.
Still doing it's job perfect after all this years on Field Day, Jota and mobile use
The only thing I had to repair the last 10 years was the burned out bulb of the scale illumination from the power/swr meter.
Components used are of good quality

Doing it's job much better than the MFJ tuner I had before.
Nice little thing !

No problems  Time owned: 3 to 6 months
Great design/nice large tuning knobs and easy to see the SWR/Power readout. Tunes all bands 80-10M with no problems

Just simply..."plug it in a play"

Great Antena Tuner  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
Wonderfull antenna tuner. Great for the shack or mobile field operation, consists of a swr meter & power meter, antenna switch 3.5-30 MHZ matching or through via band switch. The dummy load and illuminated display working with 8v external power source. This tuner was very well constructed, with fine pieces. Very accuracy meter. A pay U$ 105.

Fine quality equipment  Time owned: more than 12 months
This is a nice compact tuner that matches a wide range of loads 80-10M incl WARC. It also has a built in dummy load. The components seem to be very good quality and it loads up my G5RV on any band (except 160M)
It needs 8v to operate the relay to switch in the dummy load and to work the meter lamp. (not required if you don't need this).
A great bit of kit!
