Serious factory defect   Time owned: 6 to 12 months
Actually it is a V-6R not a V6-R, was delivered with a direct short from the center conductor to ground, Hygain did replace the loading coil but it still meant two trips up the tower, of course I should have tested it first but did not expect the quality control to be THIS bad.
Operation seems to be pretty good, looks to be pretty week considering the cost, the spring storms should give it a good workout. Definitely not the "OLD" Hygain quality but then again nobody builds a REAL high quality antenna anymore.

Good Performer  Time owned: more than 12 months
I use this 6 meter antenna for repeater service and has performed well. It is center fed and the feedline runs up inside the antenna out of the weather. SWR always remains constant/never changes with rain. I have used Diamond DPGH62 and the Cushcraft AR-6 and they do not compare to this antenna for my application.
This antenna is a solid performer
