A Good Emerency Radio  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
The Sunmate ACD836NL is a Solar , Crank and AC-DC and Auto Charger Radio and Light unit . AM is very sensitive and there are special stations I use to try the AM band out on with very good recieving . FM is fair . Shortwave is very sensitive , but you can hear some local FM stations through out the band . The Shortwave band goes on one band from 4mhz to above 15mhz so it takes a lot to get use to tuning this radio with just a knob and no fine tuning knob . I went outside and hooked a longwire antenna up to this radio and I was suprised at the sensitivy of this radio as it was great . I have bought this just as a emerency radio and found out that I am completly satisfied with the radio except on the FM band . I give this radio a 4 out of 5 . I will buy another one soon for backup .
