Great amplifier  Time owned: more than 12 months
From nearly a year I am happy owner of this amplifier. Automatic rifle change of band, all the necessary protections, much silent one, guarantee of 5 (five) years!!! That other is asked more? The power in declared escape from the constructor is of 600 W, but it succeeds in giving something more, arriving also to 750 W. The cost of approximately 1500 euros it renders much attractive one, considering the fact that for widens automatic rifle of hardly advanced power must be spold the double quantity of euros

Great Amplifier  Time owned: more than 12 months
Great power amplifier, low noise and high reliability.
It has all the protections possible. even after hours of exercise is at the same temperature. Never any problems for two years.
It also has a 5 year warranty, thanks so much RF-Power.

Superb amplifier  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
This small italian firm manufacture 2 amplifiers, this one for 230VAC mains with a linear power supply, and the HFLA700 for 100 to 240VAV mains with a switching power supply and 5kg less. They both put out about 500W. The great feature is automatic band switching from your Icom or Yaesu transceiver. Beeing retired I elected to build a new house in a small village near a dolmen and a medieval castle so I had to forget about my tower and 8el Sommer antenna, and choosed a center fed dipole and an AV-640 vertical antenna. It was important for working DX with these modest antennae to be able to change bands very quickly. So I choosed this amplifier and a MFJ-998 ATU to complement my FT-2000. The HFLA600 is very well built with high quality electronics. All RF connexions are made with BNC. The cabinet is nice and compliment well the radio room. Switching bands from cluster spots is a 1 second duty, just the time to hit the MFJ-998 Tune button and for it to restore memorized settings, the FT2000 doing the job to switch the amplifier ; during tuning the MFJ-998 bypass the amplifier, same case if SWR is above a preset value (1.5 in my case).
As of today I have been very happy with this amplifier. 50w drive give 450 to 550RFW from band to band. Fan is not too noisy, but obviously some are more quiet. ALC has to be considered as a fail safe in case of too high power from the transmitter, but you have to set the correct power from it. A softstart is also recommended as the amplifier trip the 16A protection from time to time at power on.
All in all a very good amplifier from a very nice firm ; highly recommanded !
