This radio is a piece of junk! Do not buy! Output power on 220 is about 6 watts. Receive on all bands is useless. No matter how strong the signal it always sounds as if it is right in the noise floor. Comparing this radio with a 5/8 wave co-linear antenna on the car with a VX-7R and rubber duck the VX-7R receives full quieting on signals that are unreadable on the Btech. Even if you do manage to receive a decent signal the audio quality is so poor it is painful to listen to it. In 40 years in ham radio and broadcast engineering this is the absolute worst garbage I've ever encountered.
