160M Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Florida Space Coast QTH. Configured as inverted V. Apex at 68 feet. Flat VSWR across all of the CW portion of 160M. It has survived, over the years, the WX conditions
prevalent at this QTH.

Amazing Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I bought the 20M a few months ago, and after burning up an ugly cobweb antenna, I raised about 15ft over my roof as an inverted V. Super flat at 20m, and gave me 1.1 to 1.2 SWR across the entire band, and I was reaching more Eastern Euro countries than I usually get, and Lebanon for the first time! I have giant redwoods lining my property, so this antenna disappeared and was hardly visible. Highly recommended!

Works well electrically - Visually undiscerning Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
For helping a fellow Ham, I was gifted an 80m Horse Fence antenna. Its installation was straightforward and performance was effective as any dipole I've experienced.

The only reason for taking it down (within a month), was its visual challenge. With any wind it became the attractive eyesore above my property. While to a degree I had convinced my wife to 'give it some time,' a neighbor living a street away joked about my "used car lot." Then realizing my previous 'typical' wire antenna had advantages, I reinstalled it. Additionally, with enough time or locations, operating a Station can provide for negativity. Drawing attention unnecessarily to a Station, is unwise.

When considering my gifting Ham's property location, I came to realize how this antenna was available there. Rather than in use, or otherwise kept. While the Horse Fence antenna gave solid, no-fuss performance, I cannot endorse its use.

Amazing!!! Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
I'm just not sure where to start!. I have the 6-80 Meter version of this amazing dipole!. It performs beyond what is advertised, i've worked countries i've never been able to even hear before. Not to mention it's been through 3 storms with winds in excess of 55 mph. That alone is piece of mind. The other day we had wind gusts clocked up to 66 mph and it's been through that at least 3 other times. The strength is amazing, I have the feed point up at 70' in a maple tree and i simply give it a bit of slack when it's going to get stupid out. So to k5wz i say kudo's to say the least. I almost bought one of these years ago, and i'm actually sorry i didn't do it sooner. Thank you for a wonderful product, when and even if this one goes poopy, I WILL replace it with the same antenna guaranteed. Sincerely, Marshall P. Sarver KC8BRT..

recently stopped working Time Owned: more than 12 months.
The horse fence worked well for 4 years. now it won't tune up on 80M at all, even with an ATU. Antenna Analyzer shows resonance at the 17M band...so it seems at RF there is no llonger any connection to the dipole...my coax is serving as a vertical.
I emailed the owner but no response as yet.

GREAT Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have had this antenna up for over a year now and it has stood up to everything ice, snow, rain and wind and is still working great.
I could not ask for anything to work better than it has.
WELL worth the money, try one I think you will love it.

Awesome Antenna Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Purchase the 80M antenna to enable me to work on MARS NETS.
I am completely satisfied with the performance and customer service. Norris is a pleasure to do business with.
I have it up 35 feet in a huge pine tree. Even though the right leg goes under and over a couple of large branches, it’s still performs beautifully. I am certain it will be even better once I find a way to clear out these two branches. Most impressive is the noise level reduction as compared to my vertical. I expected it to drop but “REALLY”dropped.

Highly recommend this antenna

Great performer Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I purchased recently this HF dipole although I had my doubts about its performance but my mind changed totally when I saw it working so well.
My bandwith compared with the bazooka I removed was bigger, from 7050 to 7250 KHz I only have 1.25 SWR and at the ends (7000 and 7300) It only see 1.5 SWR. Its installed as inverted V at only 25 feet up at the center and about 5 feet on each end.
What I still do not understand is why my band noise level decreased 5 S Units compared with the bazooka.
Only defect I see is that been so wide (2 inches wide) it offer to high ressitance to the wind and when I have here strong winds and it moves and twist so much that seem its going to blow away.

EXCELLENT, WELL-BUILT 80M ANTENNA! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I, like most hams, love to experiment with antennas. But my current QTH doesn't make it easy to install either a long vertical or a full-sized dipole for 80 meter use. Or so I thought, until today: I purchased the HFBA, and it arrived well-packed by USPS in two days (thanks, Norris!). I spent about an hour here, trying to make it fit into an awkward configuration, so that I could bend it around trees and limbs. It's up now: apex at 35', both arms drop to about 6-10' off the ground at their lowest. I had to lengthen each arm (simple task!), and with about 1' to spare, it tunes from 3.600 to the top of the band at SWR <2:1.

I've read some critiques of this antenna, especially re: the conductors used and their resistance, and how much of the power into the dipole will be lost as heat (it's currently -5 degrees here, so maybe that's a good thing?). Well, I plan to try it next weekend on the NAQP CW contest, using less than 2.5 watts: let's see if my scores improve from my baseline, using this innovative antenna. I'll revise my rating if things are disappointing, but for now, it's a "pack and play" simple dipole, worth looking at for certain.

Worked all 50 states and 60+ countries with it Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I'm a new ham, so maybe my recommendation isn't the greatest. But, I bought the 80m single wire version and it has surprised me. Using a MFJ Versa Tuner 2 I am able to work 80, 40, 30, 20, 17, 15, 12 and 10 with this antenna. I've worked all my states on FT8, half of then on SSB, and over 60 countries (Digital and SSB) with this antenna. I've been asked from people over 500 miles away if I'm running an amp when they hear me on my FT-891 and this antenna. I'm not. It's just that good.

It's already been through a storm that brought down a tree limb as big around as my arm, but this antenna stayed put and perfectly intact.
