Hassle free antenna, Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have this antenna since i got my license years ago. It's mounted horizontally and I worked the entire world with only radio power. I also have the line isolator from Hyendfed which works perfectly. I recently put down the antenna to see if it needed maintenence and to my surprise everything looked as new. Highly recommended!

Hyendfed for 10/20/40/80m Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have had the end-fed antenna for 5/6 years now. it is the shortened version for 10/20/40/80m. This antenna is very good, I have 1/2 contacts with Australia and New Zealand every weekend morning with 100W. it is also very well made. no moisture or anything. The material is very good and no expense has been spared. The service is also very good. If there is a problem, Ron will come up with a solution. can anyone recommend an end-fed antenna. regards Stefan PD5S

Portable 4 Band Antenna Mini 100 Watt Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I have used a HyEndFed Multi-band Antenna 80/40/20/15/10M for about 3 years with great success. After the POTA bug bit and operating Rover in the Ontario QSO party, I decided to give HyEndFed's Portable 4 Band Antenna Mini 100 Watt antenna a try. I was not disappointed.

I had the opportunity to get out an try the antenna and my deployment ideas in the field during a couple hour window on a Saturday morning. Using a fiber glass mast, I erected the Portable 4 Band Antenna Mini in a sloper configuration. The Balun box was put at about 31 feet, with the lower end at about 9 feet. I used the HyEndFed portable line isolator. The build quality was fantastic along with its "portable" features. I fed it with 75 watts on SSB.

My activation resulted with over 20 QSOs on 40 meters. in about 1 hour. This first use of the antenna did not disappoint. I was impressed. I will be using the antenna on vacation when I will activating some all-time new ones! I will update my review after those experiences.

A fantastic performing antenna, see my review. Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
UPDATE 9th June 2022
While my comments in my reviews as below speak for themselves... I worked a VK with 20 watts on JS8CALL, on 40 meters !just could not believe he heard me and I heard him.. with enough Oomph to work each other for well over 10000 miles. Whatever we can say about Ron's antennas, here in my location they work like a dream. Trust me... if they did not, you would be reading it right here in big bold letters.

UPDATE on April 7th 2022
Antenna continues to delight !. With Endfeds... it appears to me that ye either like 'em or hate 'em.
Well in my case I am in the "like 'em" group. I run mainly digital modes and VARA HF and WINLINK Express and effortlessly contact gateway station everywhere. As mentioned earlier.. on Joe Taylors Whisper this antenna frightens me...it is heard with its 200 milliwatts all over the globe ! And that includes New Zealand, Hawaii and Aussie land which is just about as far as you can get from Ireland.
Just wanted to repeat my comment from earlier... do go for the antenna secured to the backing plate ! Trust me... it can get brutally windy here and being secured on the backing plate itself makes it, in my opinion, more secure. Get the stainless steel clamps... and you will be leaving this antenna to your children !

Review of the 80-10 meter antenna with strain relief on the aluminum backing plate.
This Antenna is UNBELIEVABLE. The Proof ????
Am running a 200 milliwatt ZACHTEK (Harry Harrison) desktop transmitter in Whisper mode.
This antenna is heard in AUSTRALIA, (VK4CT) ANTARTICA, (DP0VGN) BRAZIL, (PP5ZX) SAN FRANSISCO., Hawaii, Japan Reunion Island, ... all on just 200 Milliwatts !!! in the 20 meter band, but also in many many places on the 15, 12 and 10 meter bands. And..... the antenna is compromised for 20 meters as ideally it should be half wavelength above ground but at its highest point it is only 7 meters and lowest is only 3 meters.
I do very little SSB HF these days but prefer the digital modes. But.... my first contact on SSB on this antenna was with SENEGAL !!!! in Africa ! (6W1QL)

OK... now to the real stuff. The build quality is FANTASTIC. I live in the middle of NOWHERE and we are very exposed to wind here. (Last storm(named Barra, registered 164 KM, about 100 Mp/h wind over the FastNet Lighthouse. !)
I recommend most strongly that if you are buying one of Ron's Antennas, you buy the version where the antenna wire is secured on the backing plate and NOT on the Balun transformer box. Please trust me on this..
I have 40 meter of wire hanging from the backing plate and the pull loads on it must be significant. Another tip ? DO NOT pull the wire too tight. As Ron says... let it hang with a bit of a bow. And make sure that your anchor points do not move... especially important if you are going to use a tree as an anchor point. And if you going the extra mile.... buy everything in Stainless steel, as I did.
This is my very first Endfed antenna and I am absolutely delighted with it. Yes… it is expensive but… please remember folks … you get what you pay for. For me… the best quality possible was crucially important, as well as good customer service. I can state with my hand on my heart that the HyendAntenna company provides both. (At 77 years old... I am getting a tiny bit too old to climb too many ladders.)
Every question I had was answered courteously and quickly. The antenna has now been up a full month and has truly exceeded expectations.
No doubt… I could have built a half wave endfed myself… after having been a radio ham for over 30 years.. it would have been a simple job. BUT… I do not have the time…. Simple as that and I wanted the best.
I wanted to upload a photo but the layout here does not allow me to do it so if you want to see a picture, just go to the site and look at the reviews.
In summary….. a FANTASTIC ANTENNA THAT EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS BY A MILE !

PS: You folks in the USA have an equally great Endfed antenna company right here in Florida... just like this, a great performer and build by people who care and pride themselves on top quality. I have one of their CMS chokes in use here and the quality of that unit is superb

Excellent Antenna Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
I got the 1Kw 80-10m antenna and strung it up into three trees, UNUN at tree No.1 is around 3 feet from ground where I have it grounded, then it goes around 15 feet up tree No.1 - North to tree No.2 at 55 feet then swings East to around 65/70 feet to tree No.3, it's sort of a sloping inv L.

I got the version with ceramic capacitor to increase resonance in the 80m band which means it electrically shortens the antenna without having to physically shorten it which will mess up the other bands as a result SWR on 80m is less than 1.8 throughout the 80m band and at around 3.650 it's around 1.2 , at least for my installation.

If you get the version without the compensating capacitor for 80m it will be resonant more in the CW portion of 80m and you will have higher SWR in the phone part.

It's good using it with Acom 1000 too because all I have to do when changing bands is to just tune the amp.

I get pretty good DX with it, the key is get it high as you can and/or make it into an inv L, too low and more of your signal goes straight up which is better for NVIS but not so good for DX.

The best or nothing Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
After reading all the reviews, I decide to buy my first HyEndFed antenna.
I get short model HyEndFed MKIII 40-20-10, rated for 200W and 11.8m lenght.
Using a 12m Spiderbeam pole end of antena is about 10m (33ft) up and sloping down to feed on about 3m(10ft.). In combination with an Icom IC706MKII provide solid results.
Antenna makes your radio become alive with strong and loud signals.
In 70-80% of all conversations on each band I hear both sides, which is fascinating for such short antenna.
On all 3 bands no tuner is ever needed and SWR is mostly 1.1 - 1.2. Even if not declared for 17 and 15m bands I use it there with LDG tuner and swr comes to 1.2

Solid Performer Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
My city lot is pretty small, and the XYL put her two cents in to the mix when it comes to my HF antennas. Basically I'm restricted to using end fed antennas from a small tower along the side of the house to a small tree in the back corner of the yard. This gives me about 75 feet to work with. For years I've used a 75 foot wire with a 9:1 UnUn. Performance wasn't bad but I wanted to do better. Eventually I found the HyEndFed 80-10 meter antenna that uses a small trap to shorten the antenna. When this thing arrived I was impressed by the quality of the materials used in its construction. I purchased the optional base plate and stainless hardware and it is all top notch. I mounted it at 30 feet and ran the wire out horizontally in the same space as the old wire. It took about 6 trips to the backyard to trim the 80 meter portion to be resonant on 75 meter phone. After trimming the radios internal tuner will match it on anything from 3.7 - 4.0 Mhz. The forty meter band needs no tuner and the other bands all tune up very easy. I noticed this antenna has very little noise, that makes listening much more pleasant. On transmit my usual suspects tell me the antenna gets out even better than my old wire did. So in the end, if you want a good antenna for 80 and up in a small space this is a good option.

Top Quality Product & Service Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Purchased the short 40-20-10 version due to space limitations and HOA at my QTH. Setup as a sloper. Mostly listening but no problems making contacts with stations in the US, Central America and the Caribbean from my location near Dallas, Texas. Contacts to Europe and South America also possible if band conditions cooperate. Service after order placement was great. Highly recommended and I will place another order soon.

Continuously above expectations. Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I bought another HyEnd recently to extend my band coverage.

It is another complete hit. I have bought many, many antennas, and built many antennas. Other antennas can look the same, but the don't really perform the same. HyEnd are using top end components and putting them together very well.

Just buy one. If you have to use a wire antenna, just buy one.
