From a long line of great products Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have used, owned, and sold Ameco products since the 1960s. This line of preamps started back in the days of the NuVistor and has progressed to the Dual Gate metal–oxide–semiconductor field-effect transistor. This unit is a must for any tube type receiver or Transceiver. I've used them on many units and they always improved the performance of whatever they were installed on including Collins products like the KWM2A the Sline Receivers R388s and R390As. They greatly improve and Boat Anchor Receiver from BC348's to SP600s. I have even added one to my NC400 National with great benefit! I also use one on my SDRs.

Great preselector for SDR Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Bought upconverter for my cheap SDR dongle and ran int various problems, found out I needed a
selective bandpass filter. The Ameco II worked great for this, tune it to whatever band and it amplifies and preselects.

No Complaints Here Whatsoever... Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I bought mine for TEN BUX a coupla years ago, & inserted it between my receiver & the K9AY receiving loops that I employ on 160-meters. It sure does "restore" signal levels to "normal" S-meter readings. One of the better purchases that I have made in creasing my Topband "weaponry"...!

Excellent Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Excellent!
Brings up the weak signals without adding very much noise.
This can especially helpful on the higher bands such as 15, 12, 10 and 6m where the receiver noise can be higher then the atmospheric noise.
I have also used it to use a 10m antenna to receive 80m signals when the 80m antenna is in use.
