Good portable Time Owned: more than 12 months.
In 1971 I bought a Grundig TR6002,this was my first DX machine!I sold it in 1973 to buy a Satellit 2000.Since I have bought two Satellit 1000 (other name of the TR6002),one black ,the other chrom plated.I have repaired them,RF transistor blown (SW2-9 tuner)on one ,and cranked belt missing on the other.I had to made new knobs because they were lost! After alignment, reducing value of audio condensator ,there are very good performers on all frequencies only with whip antenna, even on 28mhz.Due to RF stage sensitivity is great on FM,MW and even on LW,better than most of actuals synthetised portables.Audio is very good but too bassy and need condensator change in the audio pad.The cranked belt (between SW2 dial and turret) is often broken, but happily new ones more reliables and made by Continental in Germany are awailable.Performances are identicals to TR6001/Satellit 210,only audio is more powerful (5W).SSB with optional block is only fair, not in the same league with synthetised receivers.Tuning on SW bandspread is smooth and easy as on MW.I use regularly my Sats 1000 for broadcast on SW and FM.
