MQ1-W30 (Now 30-17-12 meters) Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
My first TGM was an MQ1 which I soon replaced with an MQ3 (still in service at ~35', 315 DXCC confirmed). I recently ordered the coils and spokes to convert my -old- TGM MQ1 for use in the WARC bands. I tuned it up on a 12 foot pole in my back yard. With the antenna 12' up and pointing ~az 13 from FN13 I'm easily working EU on 30-17-12 (and Asia on 17-12). I even got VU4W on 17m with this configuration. The thing works. Next up: get it up ~30 feet with a rotor. TGM owner Tom is a great guy and very accommodating.

Funky Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
This is a great little antenna. It was easy to install, light and solid as a rock. I live on the south west coast of England and we get some very high Atlantic winds which haven't worried this little marvel one bit. It's small footprint doesn't spook my (sometimes awkward) neighbours. The only difficulty I had was to tune the SWR, which is easily done, but really needs to be performed in situ at the operational height, but that's true of most antennas. If you can hire a cherry picker for the day, you'll save a lot of pain and frustration. Once done, low SWR is stable even in poor weather, with a wide spread across the bands. I've had QSOs with good RS reports from all around Europe, US, Middle East and Africa with only 50 Watts. If you're thinking of buying this antenna, bear in mind that it must be mounted high to work well and doesn't come with a balun (1:1 required), which you will need if you are feeding RG 213 cable.
