I like the looks, size, features and performance!			Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
Nice looking unit, 2u is bit on the big size compared to what I had been used to but I love the metering. Hey, I'm a knob guy and the layout of this unit is perfect for me. The back lit buttons make it easy to see what state they are in. Easy to set up and to see what's going on at a glance. I find the gate to be very useful in ham radio. Be nice if the mic input on the back of the unit was an XLR type instead of a 1/4 trs type, but no big deal. Next time it's out of the rack I'll replace the 12ax7 with a Mullard I've got in stock. Price is also easy on the pocketbook. The quality seems to be a whole lot better than the Behringer stuff I had to keep fixing.

Broadcast Quality Channel Strip			Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I read some of the review's on the music forums of this ART voice Channel before i bought it,im glad i did..This is a really good cheap starting block for the voodoo audiophile. I am very impressed with the audio quality of this channel strip,i made fine adjustments on the EQ(EQ'ing to suit a behringer XM8500 mic and TS850)cutting a few dB's off the low end as the tube is producing a warm sound from even the cheap 12AX7B valve (as in the not so good Behringer Mic2200).I replaced this with a Mullard vintage 12AX7 tube the diffence was slight but a noticeable low end/mid range improvement. As with most rackmount audio processing equipment this needed Starquad balanced mic cable and plenty of ferrite as RFI was a problem to begin with.

Voice Over quality audio			Time Owned: more than 12 months.
ART Voice Channel, Heil PR-781, FLEX-5000a. Great reviews for AM and SSB audio. Easy to setup. Common on air remarks are "broadcast audio quality." I replaced the Chinese 12AX7 tube with a venerable Baldwin Organ 12AX7. Made a good product great.
