Maco M-105 Great Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Wanting a monobander yagi for 10m i took a chance trying out the Maco M-105 because it was relatively inexpensive.I've worked so many incredible DX with this antenna ! i hear stations that i don't even suspect with my multi-band dipole. It's been atop the 50 ft. tower for 3 years now and after strong winds and some ice nothing has moved or loosened up.I've only added some mini u-bolt type clamps to secure the cable supporting the boom from the mast (mandatory) because they were not included.Of course since this antenna is intended for the cb band i had to re-configure it for 10m using antenna modeling software and fine tune it aferwards with an antenna analyser, that was easy.Do not expect high quality machined stainless steel hardware and components on this antenna for the price...but overall i am surprised and very satisfied with the durability and the performance.

Works great Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Got a Maco 103 which stands for 10m 3element and that's what it is a 3 element mono bander for 10m and it works great , switching back and forth from a multi band vertical to the 3 3 3 element mono bander you can really notice the diff of a few s units depending on test if its local or DX but regardless it works much better than a vertical , that's the nature of a directional antenna. 12ft boom easy to install what's else you need for 10m? Had it up for almost 2yrs and works great. 73

Decent quality and good value. Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I've owned and used the MaCo V-Quad on 11-meters. This antenna is easily adjustable for 10-meters as is the entire MaCo line. They're advertised as 10/11m, so no surprise there. The V-Quad is simply a 2 el. delta-loop. I think we all know what type of performance to expect from that...very good that is. I'd recommend replacing the supplied hardware with stainless steel. (Available at any marine shop.) The mechanical stability of a true delta-loop is always a tough nut, so MaCo can't really be faulted there. Perhaps an added gusset (Is that the correct spelling?) for each boom-to-element point would be a plus. So, if an inexpensive "aluminum" is what you want, then the MaCo Yagi line might just fit the bill. Otherwise a wire delta-loop makes a dandy weekend project. :-)
