XGGCOMMS CAT Interface. My misery is over. Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
If you suffered, like I did, from the fact that Windows will not allow you to hear the sound of that YouTube video you want to watch, while yr trusted WJTX S/W is running in the background (any mode) via the radio's USB cable to the PC, well yr troubles are over.

With Steve's Digi-4 interface you can do both and more !
A single USB A to A extension i use mates with the Digi-4 USB A cable and the PC and everything works fantastically. Steve uses top quality components.... the FTDI chips and Opto-Isolators in the interface are proof of that fact.
His support is excellent and yr query will be answered fast.
For me.... his interface and my Monitor Sensors SWR and Power Meter are essential in my forray into Whisper... very very few power meters will go down to 10 (TEN) milli Watts !
The constant plugging in and out of the USB cable is now a thing of the past, as is the wear and tear on the sockets.
In summary? Don't let windows take the pleasure out of our Hobby, just beat it at it's own game !
HRD, Pegasus PLus, Omnirig, WJTX, JS8CAll, KiwiSDR, all of them love Steve's interface and so will you.

WSJT-X using an Apple Mac Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
DIGI-4 to the rescue:

Before using the DIGI-4 device I had terrible problems with the reliable running of WSJT-X on any Apple Mac computer that I have.

The radio that I have been using the DIGI-4 interface with is a Yaesu FTDX10 and I must say that the pairing of this radio with the DIGI-4 interface works sublimely and without fault. In fact I would go so far as to say that the DIGI-4 should be the de facto standard when using any type of Mac Computer for digital modes.

Firstly the chipset that the DIGI-4 uses is FTDI and these are common drivers, rather than the slightly obtuse Silicon Labs drivers required for use of Yaesu's own soundcard interface. You will note that Yaesu do not even have drivers for the Mac on their website and you may find that if your Mac is using an old version of Mac OS, that it doesn't have built in the drivers that the Yaesu radio requires.

The main recommendation on the radio's menus, where any reference to the PTT Control is set to 'DAKY', then change it to 'RTS'. This will instantly save you much grief, as that is what the DIGI-4 likes to use.

The DIGI-4 completely resolves all the following problems that I encountered when attempting to use Yaesu's USB interface with Mac computers:-

1) The radio isn't seen by the Mac at all. i.e. the two 'COMM Ports' of the transceiver are not enumerated by the Mac.

2) The sound from WSJT-X to the transceiver suddenly starts coming out of the Mac's loudspeakers and is no longer going to the radio. The radio shows no power output or ALC when it's transmitting.

3) The WSJT-X waterfall suddenly stops because it's no longer receiving audio from the radio.

4) The radio stops transmitting as it's no longer receiving PTT signals from WSJT-X.

The length of USB cable between the radio and the Mac made no difference.

The output power of the radio made no difference.

Ferrite cores on the cable made no difference.

Recommendation:

If running any digital modes on your Mac and need to connect the Mac to your Yaesu transceiver, purchase and use a DIGI-4 interface. This will likely be one of your best purchases ever and will save you from considerable misery.

Totally AWESOME! Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
This is the interface you want. I had a SignaLink for years on my previous radio but when I got the FT-891 I needed something more compact and the XGGCOMMS USB provided that function well. Ths 891 has a USB port on the back allowing it to talk directly to computer for CAT and with the single XGGCOMMS USB interface I have the digi modes covered too. This allows me to grab and be gone. I had a question for Steve and being late Saturday night on this side of the pond (and the wee hours in the UK) I didn't expet him to get back to me for a couple of days, but the next day, Steve sent an email and got me squared away. Excellent customer service.

Great Products - Excellent Support Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
I’m fairly new to amateur radio and wanted to explore digital modes. I ordered a Digimode-4 interface from xggcomms.com for a Xiegu G90 and it worked flawlessly.

I liked it so much I ordered another one for an older Yaesu FT-100D. I couldn’t get it to work on the Yaesu so I contacted Steve, the owner at xggcomms. He responded within a few hours with the correct solution and in no time the FT-100D was WSPRing all over the planet.

But this review is more about the personal customer service provided by Steve.

The Digimode-4 for the Xiegu G90 appeared to have failed after a few months. I contacted Steve and he suggested I return the interface. It turned out that the interface was fine. I am constantly rearranging my setup and I had stressed a cable and damaged one of the connectors. I offered to pay for the repair and return shipping, but he repaired the cable and returned it, all at no charge.

Xggcomms.com is a small family-owned business in the UK with great products and excellent customer service. Steve is very knowledgeable and responds quickly to inquiries. Highly recommended.

Works perfectly on FT-897D Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I ordered this cable from the EBay store for around $36 USD to my door. Shipping was quick and it works perfectly. I had to download the drivers from the link provided by XGGCOMMS, but the installation was straightforward on the Windows XP machine I use for digital modes. Once installed, rig control is easily enabled in the digital mode software - FLdigi, Hamscope, MultiPSK, etc. I'm VERY pleased!

Works fine Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Purchased on e-bay for $32.99 included shipping from the UK. It arrived in 9 days. Once my computer installed the USB driver it works fine. I am using it with win-eqf.
