Great Product! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I use it all the time after a roll was given as a secret Santa club Xmas party. If you can get them on sale for a half dozen at $25 go for it, or you local Home Depot sells it for $4.98 per roll (Black EZ Fuse Silicone Tape).

Awesome Weathersealer Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I've been using this tape for over a year and so far no wet PL259 connectors. I've used Rescue Tape on my BigIR vertical so started buying it. Raincoat tape is noticeably thinner than Rescue Tape but it works just the same and a bit easier to apply at about half the cost. It's way better than messy Coax Seal and electrical tape with no messy adhesive residue. Planning to try it on my road bicycle instead of cork bar tape. It's so versatile.

Hamcq.com is the place to get it. When on sale is 6 for $25.

Huge Inprovement. Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have been using High Sierra’s “Raincoat Tape” for sealing PL-259 antenna connectors now for about a year with no wet coax problems. It comes in a convenient 1 inch wide x 10 foot roll with a clear backing that is wider than the tape. IMO it seems to be a HUGE Improvement over the black tape, coax seal and black tape layers that I was previously using. Not to take away from the previously used method (it also works) the Raincoat Tape seems much more user friendly and definitely less messy.
High Sierra’s “Raincoat Tape” for sealing water from coax connectors on the other hand is user friendly and easy to apply and also easy to remove by making one slit with a knife and peeling off. In my applications where I put up, try and then take down antennas frequently, High Sierra’s Raincoat Tape is the way to go. It has the ability to bond to itself forming a completely dry layer of protection while not sticking to the coax or connector making it easy to remove. The product is available in many different color variations making it very useful for identification purposes. I highly recommend you try it for sealing water out of coax connectors as well as color coding applications. Check out High Sierra’s website, and then click on Raincoat Tape. There is a link that directs you to a practical “You Tube” video showing an application.

Fantastic stuff Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I ordered a couple of rolls of the "raincoat tape" I've seen in High Sierra Online's ads in QST. This tape is uncoated, it sticks to itself. It stretches a huge amount, and can be used to make really nice water-tight connections for antennas, power leads, etc. It comes in a lot of colors, so you can color-code stuff. And you can REMOVE the tape and reuse it, which is neat. Seal your coax connector at the antenna, and you can peel the tape off (it isn't easy) and reseal it after maintenance with the same piece of tape. GREAT stuff for HF antenna connections, IMO. I'm also using it to mark my mobile quick-disconnects & resonators--you can write on it with an indelible marker. Only had it a few weeks but so far I'm VERY impressed with how useful the stuff is. No mess! :-) It appears to be very tough and very watertight.
