Really good (ver 2) Time Owned: more than 12 months.
The version 2 is a significant update on ver 1.

The RS232 Winkey issue has been resolved and the version 2 cluster display looks very impressive with the country flags...

There are some minor issues that need resolving, which I understand are on the "to do list". The ones that I noted are that details from an automatic QRZ lookup are entered into the log fields rather than details from previous QSOs, the same also applies to entries in the Net Control field being ignored in favour of QRZ lookups when closing a net. While it's not a big issue, having FG Smith appear as a name, when you have worked Fred several times but cannot remember his name, is kind of defeating the useful purpose of a log. You can display previous QSO info, but auto populating details from previous QSOs is something that most log programs do by default.

There is already a priority of lookup setting, so I expect the above issues should be an easy fix.

Version 2 Best Yet Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Works great with the TS-890. Was using several other programs but now realize I was missing out on a lot of features. Kudos to the development team. Version 2 is easy to install and does everything I could possibly ask for plus more. Visually appealing and easy to navigate for an old klutz. If I could give it more I would.

Version 2 has everything and works great Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
I recently switched from paid HRD to free Log4OM 2. It works flawlessly and has every logging feature that I use and care about. The new features of version 2 are great! The volunteer support is also superb and quick.

This is a great program ... and did I mention that it is FREE? I will be donating to help support the continued development.

HRD has suffered with "feature bloat" over the years under the new ownership and has a much larger footprint on your computer. It is also slower and prone to freezing for many seconds while processing, even on a fast computer with lots of ram. So, you pay your money (or not) and make your choice.

Fully featured, friendly and free! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have been using Log4OM for over two years and have had a very good experience with it. I recently migrated to the new version Log4OM 2, which has been redesigned from the ground up. This NextGen version has a different feel and look and is much faster at remote lookups and provides more visual information automatically, much of it quite useful. It takes some time to migrate to the new version but I believe it is worthwhile. Highly recommended software for logging everyday contacts. And it is free! Great job guys!

Absolutely the BEST Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have been using Log4OM since April 2014 with my TT Orion2 and now with the Flex 6400M. The one thing that attracted me was the ability to print the Log easy. The fact that is free is another plus. Although I donate annually. The support is amazing, the best of any product I have used.

Great FREE logging software Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
There was no way I was going to pay $100 for software just to log a QSO. I use N1MM for contesting but for day to day general logging software, you can't beat LOG4OM. A lot is based on you needs, but for me, lOG4OM fits my needs 100%. It does everything I ask for and more. Importing and exporting logs in ADIF format is super easy.
I am so glad I dropped the free version of the Brand X logging software and changed to LOG4OM. Now to really make me a happy camper, I wish they would write a version so I can use it in Linux. Being able to drop the brand X logging software and drop Bill Gates at the same time !

Great Logger Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Was a user of HRD before it goes commercial and i´ve taked a look for a new logger. I found Log4OM and i use it since years now. Winkey support, award support and much other grat things. . Nobody changes his Antenne from one QSO to the next and it´s not a big problem to change the antenna in Options/Station Info if needed. By the way, i don´t need commercial software for hamradio use. Software like this should be free for all hams´s .... :-) ;-)

Since coming back to ham radio i´ve used HRD as a "AIO" software suite but it needs a lot of processor usage. Read something about log4om, downloaded installed and simply great ..... I can use some 3rd party for digitals, it´s fast don´t need high processor usage and works great for me. The best "free to use" logging program i´ve ever seen.

Also great support in the forum. If there´s a problem you ask for the answere will be come mostly at the same day .... DXCC database fixes coming at the same day if a problem is posted.

Thanks to Daniele and the whole team for the great work. Will never use another logger for my "normal" ham activities.

Superb Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have used LOG4OM for several years. Very easy to set up and to use. Incredible functionality and integration with other programs. Have just started to use Winkeyer - wish I had done so years ago. And great support from G4POP and the development team - both the forum, excellent help and YouTube videos. And it's free. Thanks guys.

Its free! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I like it a lot so far. I use it to keep my QRZ, LoTW, eQSL and Clublog logs up to date. I am not a contester (at least not yet), so it works great for me.

My only gripe is their help forum is very clunky and at least for me difficult to run searches on for topics I need help with. I made the mistake of asking a question in their FB group and was "curtly" directed to the forum. So good luck with that...

Luckily for me I know a local amateur who is very knowledgeable on Log4OM and has helped me out when I have needed it.

With that said, I still rate it a 5 just because once you figure it out....it works great!

Great Logging Program Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I was looking for a full-featured logging program to replace HRD and found Log4OM.

Initial install failed, so I removed it, installed some pending Windows 7 updates, and tried again. This time the program installed okay, but would crash when starting up. I suspected this was due to remnants left over from the first failed installation attempt. A post to the Log4OM forum brought a quick response from G4POP who told me which files to delete. I deleted the files, reinstalled, and Log4OM has been rock solid ever since.

Creating a log database and importing a log from an ADIF file is dead easy and takes all of about two minutes. I updated the country file before importing my log and everything imported without error. Getting QRZ.com, eQSL, and LoTW interfaces set up is also quick and easy.

My favorite feature of the program is its interface to the DX spotting cluster. It highlights any country I have either not worked yet or don't have confirmed with a different background color. Ditto for countries I have not worked on a particular band and/or mode. This highlighting makes it very easy to tell at a glance which spots I need to pay attention to.

Another nice feature is the tree-structured view of the DXCC countries list. I can tell at a glance which countries I've confirmed, worked but not confirmed, or not confirmed. Expanding each country shows which contacts were worked by band. Cool, and very useful. It also keeps track of statistics for DXCC, WAS, WAZ, etc.

It integrates with rigs via Hamlib or OMNIRig, with various antenna rotators, and with Winkeyers. All of this works seamlessly. It also has a built-in com server that allows it to accept logging requests from programs like JTAlert and Fldigi.

There's a lot more to the program than I described above, but I've only scratched the surface so far and continue to discover functionality I didn't know existed. Log4OM is a worthy replacement for HRD. Highly recommended. The fact that it's completely free is icing on the cake.
