Review Summary For : DX Engineering Telescoping Fiberglass Tubing Kits
Reviews: 3MSRP: $138.00
Description:
DX Engineering telescoping fiberglass tubing kits are constructed from seven pieces of high-quality, smoothly telescoping fiberglass tubing. Each section of the extruded fiberglass tubing is 96 in. long and has a heavy-duty 1/8 in. wall thickness. The four larger diameter sections have four slits on one end and the next two smaller sized tubing sections have two slits on one end for securing with compression clamps. The top section has no slits. When fully assembled, the DX Engineering telescoping fiberglass tubing kits can reach up to 50 ft. tall. Depending on your application, the length can be easily made shorter by telescoping the elements inward or removing element sections. They can be used to make various vertical antennas or the basics for light-duty dipoles and G5RVs. The kits include stainless steel band clamps to keep the telescoping poles properly mounted in position.

DX Engineering telescoping mast is a great investment. Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have two DX Engineering telescoping fibreglas masts in service in my back yard. One supports a 160M inverted L and a 40M inverted Vee at 30 ft. (Soon to increase to 40 ft.) The other supports a K9AY receiving loop. Both have been 100% trouble free and do their respective jobs with ease.
The masts are well manufactured and the hardware is good quality. Here in New Mexico we are subjected to frequent high winds and both masts have easily withstood Mother Nature's best efforts to damage them. I highly recommend this product.

Waste of money Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
This is actually an extremely dangerous pole mast
at 50' the top four sections are so unstable that they really cant be used. A OPTIONAL guy kit now brings the price up another $99.00.
The ground anchors are a real joke. You better plan on setting them in concrete or they won't hold
I am a professional climber by trade and I can tell you do not play with this wiggle worm. It could make the difference between Life & Death. I can only give you a friendly warning. As hams, we owe it to each other to weed out the truly bad garbage from the good stuff. I am not bashing DX engineering but lets be real your life could be on the line with this one, YOU DECIDE.

Excellent Product and Customer Support Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I custom ordered the tubing sizes that I needed, together with the clamping hardware, using five 8 foot sections as I only wanted to go up 34 feet. This was to accommodate running that length of the 300 Ohm matching stub of a full size G5RV down the center of the mast, in order to keep it vertical and perpendicular to the antenna elements (the top tube is 1" OD, to accept a PL-259). The tubing is very strong and fit together perfectly, excellent quality in both the fiberglass masts and the stainless steel hardware. George, K3GP, DX Engineering Customer Support, was very helpful in ensuring that I had the proper hardware and tubing necessary for the project, as well as information on guying. The mast supports the G5RV very well, even in windy conditions. Also, make sure that you wear gloves when assembling the mast to avoid getting nasty fiberglass splinters in your fingers.

Overall, I had an excellent experience with DX Engineering and can recommend this product and their customer support.
