Pass. Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Bought a couple of these right from HYS to try them out. Wouldn't recommend them. The mic/speaker jack broke on one of them within a month, the antenna covering started to split on the other. They have some firmware issues, too. Radio will default to the first memory channel when you power it on... but... it shows the last channel you were using when you powered it off. The squelch sometimes does not open correctly, was having this problem when I let my brother borrow one during Dayton. Switched radios shortly thereafter. The TX audio is mediocre. Fairly muffled. The batteries don't seem to hold a charge after a few months, either. There are other manufacturers making better radios for the same (or lower) price.

I like this little guy! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I like this little radio. It is an inexpensive radio but it does the job. The manual has a little chingenglish but not too bad. I was also able to get there programming software to work fine on Windows XP and Windows 7 using a USB programming cable. One of the things I like best about it, is that it has a metal belt clip that attaches to the body of the radio, not to the battery like others. It is a few bucks less than a Wouxun but has almost as many features. Again the OEM antenna leaves a bit to be desired but which Hand Held doesn’t.
I have other Chinese HTs and this one stands it’s ground for power, and audio clarity. It will also take the Speaker Mic like many of these little guys will.
Over all I am very happy with the radio and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone.
