nice hands on receiver Time Owned: more than 12 months.
i own the yaesu fr-50b for a vew years now
for its age it is a solid performer switch it on let it warm up for a vew minutes because of the drift
you need to work the buttons to get a signal but if you like to work to get a signal out of the external speaker this is a fun addition to your shack
it will never outpreform a modern computerised gismo but working it is so muth fun

Good radio for the price Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Bought one of the these when I started in ham radio, back in Johannesburg, South Africa when I was ZS6BMY in 1973. Great little radio, although one used the BFO control to pull in SSB signals. Was needed to operate the FL-50R since it provided VFO signals.
I now own 2 of these and they are in great shape. Sensitivity is nothing compared to today's receivers, but it is excellent when one considers it was hand made back in 1973.
