Called Balun Designs to get their recommendation - this model 4114 was it. They know their stuff! It arrived & I installed it in 5 minutes. Checked it out with my K2 & ATU on all desired bands - it works great just like they said it would. Later used 1kW with the manual tuner - it worked great. It’s configuration is short coax (LMR400) to remote balun designs, and 450 ohms up to 125 ft non-resonate dipole. Balun Designs makes the best Baluns that you can find. I’ve made my own and always go back to this brand. No problem and it can take power once tuned by tuner. The company is not perfect - they are slow in shipping product but I don’t care because their products are the best.

They make the best balun on the market. The 4114T was purchased to replace a inferior well known brand balun that could not handle the load. This model is rated at 1 to 35 MHz @ 5kW, 7kW intermittent. 35 to 54 MHz @ 5kW.
All ratings based on resonant load. As we all should know, High SWR will reduce power handling ability but at 5KW rating it will easily handle large mismatches running legal limit.
My 80M horizontal loop fed with 450ohm ladderline has never performed this well before. Top notch materials and experience goes into all their products. Even the communication replies and shipping were fast and efficient. I will be purchasing other models to accommodate my numerous wire antennas.

I needed to install a wire antenna that would cover more bands than my 80/40 dipole. I decided on an OCF dipole using the #4114-ocf Balun. I started with the dimensions on the Balun Designs site, but after playing with end lengths, I finally ended up with a "classic" length OCF dipole ie:1/3-2/3 split. (44 feet/88 feet, roughly) It gives me the coverage I need between 75 and 10 meters,and the LDG tuner handles what mismatch there is quite well.YMMV due to surrounding trees, roofs, and whatever else you may have near the antenna. The #4114-ocf is built VERY ruggedly with a 5KW rating. This is the second B.D. balun I have and I'm a happy camper with both of them.
