Superior Support from LZ1HD Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I purchased a Alpin 100 recently and this amplifier is built like a tank, very rugged amplifier with superb engineering and workmanship, I had a slight problem with the amplifier and Vesselin LZ1HD supports his products 100%, Every email i sent he replied almost instantly and helped me rectify the problem and got the amplifier up and running again. It is such a shame production as stopped on the Alpin amplifiers. Worth buying and keeping.

Love The Workmanship! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I decided to try a NOS Russian GU74B tetrode that I had sitting on a shelf for two years in the amplifier yesterday evening. After conditioning that valve(tube) for about five hours with just the heater voltage applied, I put the other valve in.

It gave me 1.3kW+ on HF and 1kW on 6m into a large oil can dummy load. This is the same as the original valve that came with the amplifier.

It's the first time I've had the lid off the amplifier in over two years since I first bought the amplifier. All I can say is that I'm still amazed at the quality of the engineering and workmanship that I saw inside, this thing should last for many, many years!

Dependable, reliable and just keeps on giving!

I was looking at buying the bigger version, the Alpin 200 model. But unfortunately you can't buy this directly from a UK dealer. You have to buy it from the company direct. That's a shame as it cuts out a lot of people who'd like to buy this amplifier on hire purchase terms from within the UK!

I've been using with amp since the back end of last summer and it just keeps on giving, without missing a beat!

I've used it on 40m, 20m, 15m, 12m, 10m and recently on 6m for Es.

I wish I'd bought this from the start and not the Ameritron 811H that I had previously...

Best of the best in the amplifier class 1kW Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I use Kenwood TS-590SG + ALPIN 100MKIII and now all dx-expeditions i do very fast.
I have ALPIN 100 MKIII about 1,5 - 2 years this fantastic amplifier. The my experience is that I would not exchange with any other PA this class. Only plan on switching to ALPIN 200 for next year. :) Very high performance in all bands and power output exceeds far beyond that declared ( normal 1300W to max 1400W PEP SSB, CW) with 60-65w input & 1000-1100watt DATA mode with 50-55w input. Super-ventilated never exceeds 55 ° - 60 ° degrees SSB CW in the contest on CQ RTTY max 65° - 70° degrees.
Very good value for money, super quality materials used, wery easy and quick tuning ( 2-6 seconds) very well protected. Fan speed is controlled according to the temperature inside the unit.
The Alpin100 is a very similar construction to another Bulgarian amplifier - the Acom 1000. The difference is that Alpin100 uses a more powerful power supply and a more efficient cooling system with a rear wall fan, which is standard (Acom is available as a premium option). The microprocessor-based amplifier controller, along with a front LCD display, enables efficient monitoring of the unit's performance, monitoring its parameters and facilitating the tuning process. When the tuning point deviates significantly from the optimum, the power reduction circuit is switched on. The amplifier has a variety of protection devices to protect it from damage if abnormal operating conditions occur. The amplifier uses an EBS electronic polarization system to reduce the anode resting current at low RF power. This solution, similar to some Ameritron Amplifiers used in some models, limits power losses at SSB and CW emissions.
sorry for my English :)

Nice AMP Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
I have used the Alpin 100 for the past six months on all HF bands into a HBrew Triband and Wire antennas for HF It will match all antennas pretty well as long as they are close to the 4 to 1 impedance swing so the amp does away with the need for an ATU.The amp takes a bit of geting used to and can be a bit fussy on tuning so keeping a good record of tune and load setings is a great help for fast band tuning The swr and Band TX protection really work and prevent the nut in front of the radio from doing to much damage hihi I purchased this amp second hand and had a few questions for the Bulgarian /German makers and found them very helpful,Its a nice amp and delivers on RTTY without any problems

Great Performer Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
Follow up review now I have had the amplifier 7+ months. I have used the amp in a number of RTTY contests and some casual operating.

I have found that this linear delivers repeatedly and flawlessly - it is a pleasure to use and easy and consistent in tuning and performance.

On a number of occasions I have tested the in-built protection through user errors and have nothing but praise.

If you are considering an amp in this league then this is very much worth consideration. Great bang for buck!

Mark.
