Great lightweight folding solar panel Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I just bought one of the Brunton Solaris 26 folding solar panels. I run this with a Thunderbolt Magnum Solar Regulator. For a battery I use a 12volt 12ah SLA battery. The panel folds down to the same size as my FT-897D with a AT-897 Plus on it. And only 1" thick. The panel has dual connection ports to allow you to connect up to three of them with the Brunton Solar charge controller. I added the Magnum Regulator to have an output, that can get directly feed off the solar panel. Any power that left over gets diverted to charge the battery.
