Terrible directions, slow build, average quality. Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Hello,
I purchased this antenna several months ago. I agree with the review that suggested double bolt and nut to strengthen elements, with single bolt and nut, it was very flexible. That affects SWR in windy conditions. I did that as I built it.

The directions are terrible. No photographs, very poor verbiage. They need to get an English language type to redo all of the directions with photographs.

I have built just about every antenna, starting with the 14 AVQ in Alaska in 1967. This falls below average for build but average for performance.

This dipole uses a single screw per element. Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
This dipole uses a single screw per element.
I bought this dipole a few months ago and I am not happy with it, this dipole uses a single screw per element which makes the element loose and with the wind the SWR varies, the same problem occurs in the coils and I changed all the screws by screws with washer and nuts, and added two screws for each tube of the elements and problem solved, hope my comment helps the manufacturer to fix those details so that it reinforces those area with better screws. Very good compromize Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Having bought the antenna 2 weeks ago I could assemble it 10 days later.
Next day I put up the 40m rotary dipole.
It is located on my tower 1,5 m over the
ob-11-5 and 1,5 m under the 6 el. for 6m by dk7zb with 7,2 m boomlength.
I have no!! interference with this 2 antennas nor is the dipole mismatched by these antennas.
I compared this dipole with the wire dipole - very low noise level and good performance.
I tuned the rotary dipole between 7.12 and 7.20 within SWR 2.0!
With 100 Watts and the dipole on 20m above ground I just worked VK7AC!
Very satisfactory!

Nice and cheap Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
Shipping by Eantenna is quick and easy.
The Antenna is made of good Aluminium Material with Stainless Steel Crews and big High-Q Coils made of thick Copper. A 3kw Balun, the guy ropes and tools are included. Only the Manual needs an improvment. The Results are real nice.
Before I work with an inv Vee at 35ft.
The 40MDY1 is abt 40ft and it is
- quieter then the Vee
- the Bandwith is near the same
- Reports are abt 1 S-Unit better ( you can rotate )

That´s all I need
