Didn't Work Here Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
I have the T-4-500 version. It certainly looks well made.

I run 99% digital modes at 25 watts output or less. My Omni VII is sensitive to RF on the feedline and will refuse to transmit if it is present.

I have a homebrew Carolina Windom that's 6 meters through 40 meters and I installed this at the feedpoint on the vertical element.

In short, this unit did not work at all on 10-15 meters.

I made a homebrew "ugly balun" and now I'm back in business.

Shorted at 1KW Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
I use an Alpha 86 at 1 KW. During a "run" on 15 meters in the OK RTTY contest, the T 4 shorted. I cut it open with a hack saw and imagine my surprise when I saw vinyl RG 8X. For this price, it should have been RG8 coax and ferrite, not RG8X.
