Review Summary For : SDR# (read SDR Sharp)
Reviews: 3MSRP: zero
Description:
SDR# (read SDR Sharp) is a high performance Software Defined Radio application. It is written in C# with both object design correctness and performance in mind. The project started as a simple proof of concept program to get hands into DSP techniques and has evolved to what it is today: A fully featured SDR capable of handling samplerates from kHz level soundcards up to multi hundred MHz dedicated samplers, thanks to its multi-core architecture.

Free sdr with a $10 usb Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I picked up the TV usb dongle for $10 just to see
if SDR Sharp really worked. The program was so
simple even I was able to download and set it up in less than a hour.
Spectrum analyzer for $10 + old pc (mine is a 10yr old Dell 280 running XP). How could it get any better?

Excellent software, especially for newbies Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
There are quite a few free applications for running software-defined radios with Windows computers. This one has a couple of special advantages, especially for SDR newbies like me. First of all, it is probably the most straightforward and easiest to operate of them all. The graphic user interface (what you see on screen) is simple, intuitive and elegant. Second, this app is far less resource-hungry than most. That means it runs decently even on very low-end computers like my four-year-old Atom-CPU Acer Aspire One netbook with 8.9-inch screen.

Super simple SDR GUI Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I have used it with the RTL2832 and the Funcube Pro.
It can be used with the SI570, softrock and other SDR hardware. It has very few controls.
It is simple and does a good job especially for the image rejection. Maybe a few things could be added: noise reduction, notch, decoding similarly to SDR-Radio Console and maybe setting manually the noise floor.
