Same problems here, awaiting a response.
Bob is a pretty good guy, so I expect there's some problem.

We will see...

Spent the money, no access. Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Ok, here is what the website says:
'If not, you can still subscribe to the RFinder Worldwide Repeater Directory.
This also allows access to the directory through RFinder Web, RTSystems, CHIRP, and third-party software, and is ~$12.99 US/year.'
Below it gives you the options for subscriptions and a Buy Now button. So I did. Now you would think that would be it, you pay, you get access. BUT NOOOOO! You get to use the trial. I emailed and after 24 hours NOTHING heard. I suggest you stay away from these guys until they shape up. Covid or no Covid, no excuse for taking money. If you have to use the app to subscribe, get rid of your buttons for Buy Now. Very sad.

Software with installation issues Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I purchased the RFinder service to program a handheld transceiver for my son. After paying their fee with PayPal, I never received access to the "product". For days I received incorrect login ID or password messages, and no recognition when I tried to change passwords. Turns out the problem is two-fold: 1) YOU MUST initiate your account with an IOS or Android device (there is no way to do this with a PC); 2) PayPal apparently DID NOT include my e-mail address, so my payment wasn't credited to an account. Waiting for a resolution from Bob W2CYK (613) 830-2555 or (631) 610-9635.

Great software and service Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Frankly, I don't understand what the problems are the others have placed on here. This is great software. One of the features is flexibility. I can see it on my iPhone, on my desktop, and on the integrated service in RTSystems. I can sort by band and mode. I can build routes with waypoints. I don't know how you could repeater/reflector radios without this software. As far as service is concerned, if everyone gave the service that Bob does, the would be a far better place. I am thankful that we have people who will write software like this to make my hobby even better. And for $12.99 per year. That is a major bargin in my book.

Skull and Crossbones. Avoid! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Purchased app last week and paid. Unable to log in at all or even set up my account. Sent them two emails to their support address asking for contact and assistance and alternatively for my money Back. No response.

Why in the world ARRL would drop their repeater guide and refer their members to this outfit is beyond me.

Stay Away Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
After installing the program, my free trial would not work unless I purchased the program. After uninstalling and re-installing, same result. Further, the location services would not engage, and the program insisted that I had to allow it to manage my incoming and outgoing phone calls yet, there is no explanation as to why. No information available about the program on-line and no way to get any support. This is another example of low quality junk that is designed to get your money up front - before finding out that at best, it is a marginal program.

Choose Carefully Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I like the application but support is non-existent. My subscription expired and I decided to renew through the app on my phone. Even though I received a notification that my subscription was renewed, it still shows expired in the application. After doing some digging, I found that the address on file with my iTunes account did not reflect my recent move so I thought maybe the transaction didn't go through. I updated my address and renewed my subscription a second time. Again, I received notification that my subscription was renewed but it still says expired in the app. And when I attempt to "reset" the registration, I get a notification saying there is no receipt on file...even though I've been charged TWICE and have two receipts. I've emailed the W2CYK at the support email address TWICE and have gotten ZERO response. I will not renew a third time or ever again until I know someone is going to respond to issues.

Stick With Repeaterbook Time Owned: more than 12 months.
This was supposed to be an ARRL application and they would receive the proceeds. Instead, without input from the membership, the ARRL transferred the rights of the official application to a friend of the board. Cronyism. They make excused for him. As a member of the league I must insist on more than lip service.

This is a decent application with miserable customer service. He has dropped my repeaters out numerous times and tells ME to go add them back in. He restored once from a back-up and it failed to restore my records. That happens. I sent him an email with the information so that he could provide a remedy and he told ME to re-add them. He has mixed up locations and tones. He had my primary location 100 miles away.

He had double billed me when I bought a new cell phone. He does not collect through the App Sore or Play Station that would have transferred the registration. He uses PayPal. He told ME to go to PayPal to resolve the issue. PayPal ordered a refund and he refused and insisted that I do it. They granted the refund and he sent me a snotty email. Now I have been dropped as a customer even though the original subscription was not cancelled.

With him everything is up to the customer to solve. What could be a decent application is plagued by an arrogant individual making a huge amount of money. If only 10% of licensed operators pay for his service that's a cool $1 million that should be going to the league.

I am a programmer with 40 years experience. I know the ease of creating this application but as a business owner I respect that customer service often and usually matters more. Errors can be fixed. But poor customer service has no excuse when it isn't addressed over a three year period of time.

On the road with RFinder Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Just completed a 5500 mile, 15 state road trip with RFinder. What a disappointment! Very reminiscent of the old ARRL repeater Directory days. I was unable to access probably 75% of the 146/440 MHz repeaters listed as near me. I also found many repeaters (by band scanning) that were not listed. Some listings were obviously faulty (FM Repeater on 0.525 MHZ?) This was especially disconcerting when having dinner in my RV in Central Wisconsin when the tornado sirens sounded. RFinder showed a number of repeaters close to me, but I could only hit one of them. Naturally, there was nobody listening. Not very useful for traveling.
