Update mods Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Owned this amp for some time now. Changed the input matching, altered the switching to suit my FT-736r.
Now puts out key down 200w + and is stable. Have regular QSO's at 290Km. If you find one buy it, either 22150 or the later 33150. Contact me if you need help to get it going. Don't you just love tubes?

A very good tube amp with directional coupler, relay sequence switching. Mine fitted with 2C39 BA's. With 8w drive gets 140w out & 10w 160w + out on 23 cm.
Quite stable with little drift once the cavity is warm. Purchased it as parts only, not going. Fixed about 8 faults in it. Bias cut off dry joints, hair crack in cathode bias pot, power switch latch, cathode tuner drive system (2 faults), intermittent short in 12v relay supply, grounded output tuning cap, cathode bias zener drifted out of spec & others I can't remember. For a 1986 amp it is a real goer, well worth the little time to give it a birthday. If you come across a 23150 or a 33150 not working, buy it, email me and I will help you get it going. As expected, German engineering at it's best.
