Meter is not Accurate Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I just bought the MFJ-923 and it's very helpful tuning my vertical providing you use a Duplexer and another Pwr/Swr Meter in line between the radio and tuner. This is the reason. I'm using a Diamond X30 Vertical for a dual band antenna. The antenna without the tuner seems to have high SWR on the bottom of 2 meter and 440 is pretty flat across the band. I tried connecting the 923 to help with the lower 2 meter side, and the switch on the back I had in dual band antenna position. The tuner does not separate dual band while tuning each band and that makes it very difficult. So I positioned the switch to single band antennas and used the 2, VHF and UHF connectors on the back and ran it into a duplexer by Comet CF-4160. It seems that's the only way to split the 2 bands accurately. Another issue is that I don't trust the meter on the tuner. It's not accurate compared to the Daiwa CN-103L Pwr/Swr meter. I run the Daiwa in-between the radio and the tuner and I trust tuning the pots to the Daiwa. The meter on the tuner is way off...

Works well Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I will say you need to re-adjust a touch when you switch bands but it does work well.

Absolutely worthless Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
An absolute waste of money. I have other MFJ products that works as advertised. This item is an "epic fail".

1) no bypass switch
2) adjusting one band changes the other
3) will make an antenna in mild need of matching into one that is not matched on any frequency except the exact frequency you spent 15 minutes tuning.

Horrible product. Buy a new antenna before wasting money on this product.

You will indeed regret any purchase of the MFJ-923 and when you want to return it, you will be out shipping two ways and a restocking fee. They get their profit whether you keep it or not, at AES.
