Muzzle velocity off the page Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I installed a picatinny rail and Trijicon ACOG reflex sight with daylight fiber optics. After laser bore sighting the AirBoss will place 1/4" MOA all day without a problem.
Just kidding about that. However, it is the very best, well constructed, and accurate line shooter I've ever used. Buy some extra sinkers.
Well, my Air Boss somehow fell over and broke at the valve joint. So, repaired that and while working, thought about increasing muzzle velocity, using the same 1oz weight. I increased the length of the bbl to 30 inches. What a difference! I can reduce air pressure to around 30-40 psi and clear 100 foot + trees with ease. Even in the summer when leaves are prominent. Scary. Please use primer before the cement. Had an EZ-Hang, but it's in the closet for good. Go for it!

Best solution for hanging wire antennas Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Picked up the AirBoss to reattach my antenna after a storm. Shipped next day and had it two days later. I had my doubts if this could deliver since I had a 80 ft tree. It delivers!!! Pumped it up to 50 psi and the line easily shot over the top of the tree by 15-20 ft. I attached mason line and reeled it in, then pulled up the antenna rope. This really beats the slingshot method I used previously. Recommend this 100%!

Works just like the Name... AIR BOSS!!! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I recently purchased the Air Boss in December. I was frustrated with my declining ability to toss a line over a tall tree with my fishing rod, as I have done for a long time. I perused the internet for pneumatic launchers. They were either all out of stock or so outrageously expensive that I couldn't afford them. I happened upon the Air Boss site and lo and behold; something affordable!! I used my Air Boss for the first time 2 weeks ago. The first shot... right over the top of the 120 foot pine tree that was giving me so much trouble. What a breeze it was, and, I had my 160 meter dipole up and going in a couple of hours. Great experience and super easy to operate. Great job Eric!!! I love my Air Boss and I fully recommend it!!

After Rebuild Works Great Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I dropped my launcher about two feet, breaking the smaller PVC. Also I found the launch valve hard to turn rapidly. Given that the launcher is all glued together no PVC components were salvageable.

I built a new "Antenna Boss" from the salvaged parts (pressure gauge, air valve) and the rest from my local hardware store. Instead of another original type launch valve I used a modified RainBird valve (see youtube for details) that allows me to trigger the launcher much like a rifle.

With 50+ pounds of pressure I'm able to put wire antennas up at 90+ plus feet. The sinkers are sometimes hard to see, so I paint them day glow yellow. I also suggest using braided line for your reel.

first shot success Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
My first shot got my inverted V up to 80feet. It was quiet accurate and works as advertised.

Great product that works great! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Wanted to launch antenna over 130 ft tall Douglas Fir tree standing near other trees. Goal to install EFHW antenna (11 bands) in purely vertical orientation. Surprised to find that you can aim the shot pretty accurately after a couple of practice shots. Amazed at how well this product works. Very pleased with my purchase.

BEST I HAVE EVER USED! Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
I have had wire antennas for over 54 years and always had a difficult time getting them high enough to satisfy my OCD....higher is always better!? Well, this Air Boss took care of that! I now live in an apartment....shhhhh.... in the city (alas, no more towers) with a large stand of huge oak trees behind it and on my first launch attempt at about 40 lbs. of pressure, the lead sinker (painted red) hooked to 300 yards of Spider Wire 30 lb. test fishing line, sailed not just over the nearly 90 foot tree I was aiming for, but over several others downline, landing exactly where I wanted, just over 150 feet away! My End Fed Long Wire is now up horizontally over 80 feet!! Super easy to use, fast delivery in a heavy duty PVC tube, the Air Boss antenna launcher is just what any ham will need to get a wire antenna up to any height desired. I paid extra attention to other reviews that mentioned durability and being careful not to drop it on a hard surface, so I am always careful and store it in the sturdy tube it came in. It just sits nicely in my closet, ready for my next antenna adventure. Just get one, go to Walmart for a cheap fly fishing reel, be careful not to let it fall on concrete, and your antenna installation woes will go away. In my opinion, this is the best designed antenna launching tool I have ever had. Wish I had gotten it years ago! 5-Stars for Air Boss! 73, Dennis

Great idea with flaws... Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
As others have mentioned, the small 3/4" connecting ABS pipe piece between the trigger valve and the 2" air reservoir, broke during my third use when I placed it down on the ground a little too firmly. With others on here making the same comment, the device should be redesigned for field use. One problem is that gray piece is probably ABS pipe, more brittle than PVC. Change it!
Also the dial on the pressure gauge warped jamming the needle. I was able to disassemble the gauge and repair it.
Also when I recently checked the seller's website, there were no operating communication links except an order form.

Nice produce at excellent price Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I've owned 2 Air Boss Launchers. The reason for the 2nd Air Boss purchase was I had leaned my 1st one against my house and it managed to fall over on to concrete surface. When it fell the short gray PVC tube in the center of the unit snapped in half. This was no fault of the manufacture. Under normal use this section would not break. Just aware this short gray PVC section probably is probably the weakest part of the Launcher so take care not to drop it on to a hard surface, especially if it's cold outside.
Overall it's a great product and priced right. You can build your own but by the time you take one or more runs to the store, hunt for the parts and spend time building it, it's just easier to order the Air Boss and eliminate the hassle factor. The Air Boss ships in a well protected package.
I have several pine trees in excess of 85 feet and I can clear them easily with the Air Boss.
