I'm a fan Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I've had my NA4RR beam up for four days. I worked QRP from CA to CA, WA, OK, and NH no problem the first evening. Last night I worked central Chile for the first time ever, got him first call and 599 both ways. Until now I have been using homebrew wires and verticals and I am LOVING the hex beam.

It took me a couple hours to build, I suspect it took twice as long as it should have due to the constant interruptions of young children. Even with the distractions this antenna was EASY to put together, the instructions are great, and the results are already showing. I'm a fan of this antenna.

Great antenna Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
A very good antenna, well made and very easy to assemble. The numbering and colour coding made it very easy. I would recommend these antennas to anyone.

The antenna is constructed from top quality materials. I have now tested the antenna on all covered bands and the SWR is negligible.

I have had a first generation Hex for 10 years, this knocks the socks off it.

What are you waiting for, place your order :-)

Great product, superior construction & awesome support. Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
The instructions are precise, installation video detailed and light to work with. So far I am very please with the performance on all bands plus I got the 40M kit, got great reports on 40M using 100W, 5-9. But 500+W is always better at this time of low solar activity. I do recommend getting the ice cords to add extra support during winter and windy areas. So far it has gone thru 2 heavy storms with 65 mph and still standing with excellent performance.

Great product & service Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Used this as my home QTH antenna for a while. Having come from a trapped vertical right before, this was a major improvement! The install is fairly simple, requiring only a few tools. I ordered it with the 40 meter add on, and it got to be quite large, so I had a group of guys help me get in on the Rohn telescoping mast. It worked very well at just 30 ft. It did bend completely upside down during a heavy snowstorm and I thought I'd have to order replacement parts. But when I took it down, nothing had broken-- it had just bent downwards and needed to be straightened.

Another time, the 40 meter element arced (I suspect after doing some HP RTTY), and it broke in 2. After a quick email, I was sent a new 40 meter element free of charge. Great product and even better service.

Totally Blown Away Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I had a number of QSO's with stations running the hex beam. I was impressed with what I was hearing. So I started doing research as to quality of materials, ease of construction, and "bang for the buck" and decided on the NA4RR Hex beam was the best deal going.
After unpacking and separating the parts,it took me less that an hour to build the antenna and I did most of the work sitting in a power chair.
I mounted the antenna on a tilt plate made by NN4ZZ (NN4ZZ.COM) for mounting hex beams on tilt over towers and cranked her up. It sits exactly 50 ft. AGL, measured to the bottom of the mounting plate.
The differences were immediately noticeable and over the past 14 months that I've owned it, I have been continually pleased and surprised with what I hear and the reports I get coming back to me!
I highly recommend to anyone thinking of buying a Hex Beam buy one of these by NA4RR. And get one of NN4ZZ's tilt plates to aid in getting the antenna in the air!

Plug and Play It IS! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Assembly and installation was a snap! Under 1.5 on all bands and quiet as can be. Getting it on the tower alone can be a bit of a challenge as the previous reviewer noted. I had a minor parts problem and received an immediate reply, even though the missing part was in the bottom of the box! My bad. Great Antenna! Get one today!

great antenna Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I love this antenna. If you decide to paint the fiberglass arms I would strongly suggest that you blue tape the end that goes into the metal base. I spray painted all arms but it took a little extra effort to get it in the base.

SWR is superb. It can be a bit unwieldy to place the antenna on a rotor if you are working alone.

Great HEX Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Swapped out Force 12 C19XR 3 band tri-bander for 6 band NA4RR HEX beam. No brainer! Went together smoothly. View the build video on site Internet and RTFM (both twice). SWR 1.5:1 all 6 bands at 65 feet. Worked 10 DX stations next day on 20 meters with 50 watts and FT 101E. Will update review with more experience with the HEX.

GREAT ANTENNA Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have had this antenna up for over two years. Last year a wind storm snapped my Yaesu 450 rotator in half and brought down the antenna. I replaced two broken spreaders and never looked back. It is a great antenna in my opinion.
