Well made and easy to build and install Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Purchased to use as the second antenna on my Flex 6700 SDR for diversity reception. It was easy to assemble and install. The antenna is well made and all of the components are high quality. It works fine and no problems.

Excellent Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Bought from Roger at Orlando Hamcation. Erected on crank up tower running from 32' to 44' high. Worked 142 countries in CQ WPX contest in 5 hours! Almost everyone I called came back! Performance exceeded expectations, well matched on most of 6 bands. Only fault might be having to paint the fiberglass, but for price cannot complain. Went together with no issues.

great antenna Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
Shipping was in two days-
Instructions were very clear-
I also purchesed the balun-
My first contact while it was on the ground was Benin-
It is on a 38 foot Rohn 25 tower with a Radio Shack rotor-
Two nit picks, I would like an option to have the poles delivered already painted and all the S hooks should be secured with hose clamps as I had a few come undone while raising the antenna-It is around 5 S units quieter than my dipole and I have reached out much farther and clearer---I would recommend this to anyone looking for a small beam

Super Antenna Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I received my well-packed antenna 3 days after placing my order for the NA4RR Hexbeam. Everything was neatly placed in two boxes and no parts were missing. The NA4RR website had copies of the instructions online so that you could get familiar with the assembly process ahead of the antenna arrival. In the reading it was suggested that the fiberglass spreaders be painted to extend their life. So I painted them sky blue and let them dry for a couple of days.
It took about three hours to complete the fun assembly. Instructions were clear and the well-made parts went together without a hitch. The only part that took a bit of work was making the adapter to fit my 2” aluminum mast.
The hexbeam is mounted on top of a 48 ft. Heights aluminum tilt-over tower and rotated with an old Alliance HD-73 rotator. The antenna has worked remarkably well. It is great to have a broad band, no traps, light-weight, 6 band beam (6,10,12,15,17 & 20 meters) that is less than 11 ft across. The only additional item purchased was a 1:1 balun. Roger, the antenna maker, has made available a quality product at a bargain price. I highly recommend this fine product. Jim KU4C

Great product and service Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I placed an order for the hexbeam on Thursday afternoon and it was shipped within a couple of hours, and I received my new hexbeam two days later!

I was very impressed with the quality of the parts and the instructions were very clear. The antenna went together very quickly and a week later I installed it on a new 40 foot tower.

I have been a ham for 53 years but this is my first gain antenna and tower. I am using this antenna at a cabin in Northern Wisconsin and am really amazed at how well I am getting out running only 50 watts. I have been able to work every station that I hear. One of my first contacts was a station in Fairbanks, Alaska and I had to break a large pileup. Not bad for 50 watts and a modest antenna setup.

I would strongly recommend the NA4RR hexbeam.

Great but down Time Owned: more than 12 months.
OK while it was up for over a year, it worked great. However it didn't survive Hurricane Ana. Though the eye of the hurricane was about 150 miles SW of Honolulu, we encountered 40-60 mph winds with gusts up to 70 mph. 3 separate fiberglass arms closest to the center baseplate snapped so now it's a pile of crap. Not sure if I'm going to put up another one maybe go with K4KIO or a vertical. Make no mistake, it did work awesome and allowed to get 202 DXCC!

Had this hex for several months now, up temporarily at 10 ft behind my qth to hide from the HOA cops. Worked Africa, Middle East, India with ease. Tried to work Jordan at 100w and op heard me but was light. Turned on the amp and busted through the pileup. Price is reasonable and includes 6 meters. Forgot to take it down when we had winds >30mph and so far it held. Highly recommended if you can't afford the other guys and want 6 meters!

My First 6 Band Hexbeam 5++++!!!! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I'm now in the second phase of my NA4AA HexBeam Antenna Upgrade...

Special thanks go out to Roger for the initial Q/A session.. This Hexbeam is truly a piece of quality..

On July 25, 2014 I received my Broadband Hexagonal Beam from NA4RR and literally put it together in a tad over an hour..!! This antenna is so well planned out that all the guess work is removed.. Just read the instructions in advance, separate the parts when it arrives and put it together..

Everything is pre-constructed & pre-measured so there is only assembly involved. This antenna was simple to construct.. My wife helped me initially for 5 minutes on the 6 main support cables and I handled the rest.. I also purchased the optional Ice cords from Roger for $30. Well worth it since I live in the northeast.

Even though I hadn't completed the bead balun coax choke, I decided to give it a quick series of tests..

After constructing the hexbeam while it was mounted on a short piece of old TV mast, I completed some initial 20m - 10m, & 6m readings using my RigExpert AA-54. I tested the SWR of the Hexbeam sitting at 4.5 feet above the ground and then at about 14-15 feet above the ground on a Rohn 34 foot mast partially extended and fed with 100 feet of RG8X Mini. All the readings at the general center of each band were well below 2:1, and many were at 1.2:1 or just above..!!

Not bad readings for being that close to the ground... Initial on air testing reviled that no tuning was required on my Icom IC-7600..

Ultimately it will be at 35 feet, and be fed with 150 feet of DX Engineering DXE-400MAX cable. I'll be mounting it on a guyed 34Ft Rohn Push-Up Mast with a Yaesu G-450A Rotor.

In a few weeks I'll do a followup report once it's in the air operational..

What I will say is if your on the fence and not sure what hexbeam you want, don't pass up on the NA4RR 6 band Hexbeam....

A real gem ! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
This antenna works great on a small 15ft pole attached to the deck, incredible performance for only 2 elements, Roger shipped the antenna the same day and answered my emails within the hour, that is Customer service, thanks Roger 73 de ON6MX/NO6MX

Outstanding product and customer service Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I researched Hexbeams for the past three years and finally got off the dime and ordered Roger's hexagonalbeam two weeks ago after speaking with him on the phone and being very impressed with his customer service! I received it within a week and the xyl and I put it together in about an hour! Unbelievably easy if you just follow the instructions! It's sitting currently on our patio table about three feet above the ground and I just worked DL5ANT with the beam aiming at our fence! Can't wait to get it up in the air at 40 feet! Going to retire the vertical now!,

Great Antenna Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
Called and talked to Roger, nice guy and very responsive, quick shipping and a quality kit. Great Quality and Value compared to the big guys, KIO and etc.. Kit went together in less than an hour and given great performance. Catches very little wind, weight does not require a big rotor. I am using a RCA tv rotor with no issues at 47'. Thanks Roger.....
