Don't waste your money Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I bought this antenna as a replacement for the roof mounted quarter wave on my truck since it has a built in spring which given the low height of my carport would be a plus.

I installed it on the exact same NMO body mount that my quarter wave was mounted on. I quickly found that almost every repeater I could previously access easily could not be accessed at all with this antenna. Checking the SWR quickly explained it. Nowhere in the 2 meter band was the SWR less than 10:1. Using my assigned public safety VHF radio I found that the only acceptable SWR was way up above the 2 meter band which meant I would have to lengthen the antenna substantially to get the SWR down in the 2 M band. That, of course, is not possible. If I use it at all it "may" be used on my scanner but certainly not on my V/UHF rig. Money wasted

Great Antenna Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
This is a great performing antenna. Similar performance to my Comet Quadband antenna, yet smaller. Performs well, with great swr over a wide bandwidth on 2m and 440.

Lasted one year Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
The antenna stopped working. When I checked it with the Ohm meter the base shows open. I assume there is a coil in there that burned out.

Doesn't Meet Specs Time Owned: more than 12 months.
While the Spec for this antenna is VSWR <1.5:1, I measure 2.9:1 using it with a mag mount groundplane. The resonant frequency of the antenna is 159MHz. It's a bit difficult to add length to this antenna.

Good short Antenna Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
This antenna works good, but I had to replaced it under warranty, for some reason water will get into the base of the antenna. Inside where the antenna screws on to the NMO.

I checked the SWR over the entire bands VHF and UHF and found very low SWR from 143 to 157 MHz and from 430 to 460 MHz so it will work for me on the commercial bands
