Outstanding, as always Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
Mike did the repair/rebuild to my NEW IN BOX (literally been hiding since 1975) Atlas 215x. Mike was thorough, fast with email response, and honest with repair estimates. I will ONLY do business with Mike...and my Atlas rigs will only be touched by the BEST

OHR-500 Txcvr Kit & National NC-140 GC Receiver Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
** Oak Hills Research OHR-500 Txcvr Kit **

I had accidentally reversed the polarity on the little OHR-500 multi-band QRP kit rig that I assembled years ago and had let some smoke out. Dead as a dodo.

As agreed, I sent it off to Mike at AffordableRadioRepair.com where he worked his magic and got the little rig working again, much to my delight.

Great Service and at a reasonable cost.

** National NC-140 **

I bought a 1962 National NC-140 General Coverage receiver from eBay. Looks beautiful and although it did "light-up" and get a few AM broadcast band stations, it was way out of alignment, had a mains hum and the tuning dial slipped quite badly (so it was basically useless).

Mike fixed everything that was wrong with it within the stated time frame and estimate and it now works like a champ.

Even though you have to pay for shipping both ways, I felt the rate Mike charges made it a cost I could justify to bring this old radio back to life; which he did.

Mike is very easy to work with and accommodating so I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him and AffordableRadioRepair.com

Perfect! Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
I recently sent Mike my very much coveted Atlas 180M transceiver. It was solid, but needed a little help. Mike replaced the electrolytic capacitors throughout, replaced the active audio components, gave it an alignment...and even replaced a tiny light for the S meter.

The price was outstanding for the amount of EXPERT work done to the radio.

Communication was excellent between he and I and emails were always answered promptly. He's a one-man-show, so don't expect him to drop everything and email you within a few minutes.

The overall quality and experience is worth 10 stars, but I am limited to just 5.

Affordable Radio Repair is ***THE*** best repair house for vintage equipment.

Great Service! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have sent Mike three of my vintage Swan rigs: 500CX, 300B, and 750CW. Each of them has come back like a brand new radio. Full output (almost 300 watts on the 500CX) and sensitive receivers. My experience on the vintage gear has been nothing but positive with reasonable turn times, great communication, and fair prices.

Outstanding Service, Great Price Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Mike N0BXE worked on my Kenwood TR751A all mode transceiver, giving it an alignment and full check out. He expertly went over the entire rig to make sure everything was functioning properly. This radio had undergone extensive repair and cleanup (by me) after a flood (which made it "toxic" to other repair centers). Mike communicates effectively, so I knew the status and results of his work. I am very happy with Mike's expert work and I highly recommend him without reservation. Not to mention that his rates are super reasonable! Ford Mays N5SNE
