A very good choice Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
The G-Whip Widebander is the antenna that I actually use. Ihave worked more than 100 DXCC from June, 2015 (6 month), only with the 100 wats of my TS590S.

I have more models from G-Whip and are very quality products. I recomend it 100%.

Widebander Review - Update Time Owned: more than 12 months.
The Widebander antenna from GWhip is a 22m Kevlar radiator fed from a 9:1 Un/Un and designed primarily for use with a 20m counterpoise. I removed the counterpoise and tune mine against ground with excellent results. I take the counterpoise side of the Un/Un to three 3ft ground rods buried in very wet soil - this bed actually had drainage problems and so is always wet. I added around 12 lengths of copper wire buried in the lawn, only because the wire was hanging about in the garage so I thought it may as well be in the ground, every little helps! The SWR results are very good and my LDG AT600Pro2 AMU is only required on 4m,(not that this band is used) 60m and 160m. The SWR results of the others bands are - (I have provided the highest results across the whole band in each case)
10m - 1.1:1
12m - 1.3:1
15m - 1.9:1
17m - 1.5:1
20m - 2.1:1
30m - 1.7:1
40m - 2.9:1
80m - 2.0:1

An exceptionally well made and quality antenna which I would recommend to anyone. I have mine mounted on two 20ft flag poles, one at the rear of my house where the Un/Un is mounted and one at the front holding the other end of the wire - the centre is supported on a halyard at gable end height at about 30ft, effectively then sloping up and sloping down respectively. The "earth side" is connected by 6.5mm earth bonding cable. I also use inline one of GWhips Common Mode Chokes, as a precaution to trap any common mode currents. Together the whole setup works extremely well. Search GWhip 9:1 Un/Un on You Tube - not me but I took the idea of the earth from this fellow ham. These antennas are fantastic, a compromise perhaps but they work !

Excellent antenna Time Owned: more than 12 months.
With only a few exceptions, I have used GWhip antennas for all my HF needs. I am a particular fan of the resonant end Feds and my other reviews can be found on this site.

This antenna uses a 9/1 Un Un with a 22m radiator and also comes with a counter poise wire. Both wires and fittings are of excellent quality. I have used earth stakes in my installation, which is also an option if you prefer.

Living in a typical UK semi-detached house I do not have a massive garden. The radiator therefore goes from the bottom of my garden (8 foot up) to a small mast on my chimney, which is approx 35 feet up, finishing in a small dog leg at the base of the chimney.

I find the antenna works well across all advertised bands (80-10) and whilst yes it is a compromise, I have worked the world on 100 watts.

Whilst not entirely necessary, I use this antenna with a 1-1 choke from Gwhip, which is also of excellent quality.

I have no hesitation in recommending this antenna to fellow radio operators.

Excellent Product ! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I already own a G-Whip end fed 40M dipole which has been in service for a couple of years now and is a great performer. I purchased the Widebander as I needed a multiband aerial to replace a vertical which is in need of a refurbish. It gets a 5 from me for build quality, value for money and performance - green coloured Kevlar radiator and counterpoise, potted 400W 9:1 Balun, they even throw in Dacron cord to hang it and self-amal tape for the coax connector - the internal tuner on my FTdX3000 matches it no problem, great service from
Geoff at G-Whip, ordered on Sunday evening and he e-mailed me back that night to confirm the order.

Another excellent product Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
I'm a great fan of products from this company, well engineered using quality components that really work.

This antenna has just replaced a trap dipole, G2DYM type, and is used in a sloping configuration with the counterpoise running along my fence at 6 feet from the ground.

Comparing with trap dipole it is much quieter and gives a relatively good SWR across the bands (ATU required). It functions on Top Band as well.

It does require approximately 90 foot of back yard in the configuration I've used. Terrific performer. The mono band end-fed antenna's from the same company all receive high praise from users.

Another great product!
