Review Summary For : YAESU MD 100A8X Dexk-Top Microphone w/Tone Control
Reviews: 93MSRP: $125.50 @ R&L Electronics
Description:
Yaesu, traets this as their top-of -the-line high end Mic, and as well they should. I have used Heil, Sure ICOM and other various microphones, which are from stand alone to hand mics, not that I'm the expert. But from the time I have incorporated the MD 100, the audio reports have been nothing less than "Excellent", so I'll let nealry 400 QSOs, from the mics use speak for themself! I use one for HF and the other for UHF/VHF with assured audio quality. W8DMC

Great Performer Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
I have three of this nice units, one on a FT-1000mp, another on a FT-847 and another on a FT-1000mp Mark-V, the audio reports on the three rigs have been always great with this microphones, probably you can get an almost Hi-Fi sound from some other more expensive mics, but for the money I think that Yeasu did it again!

Great Audio Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I have used this mike with the FT-920, and have had nothing but great audio reports. It is easy to set up for your mode of operation. In terms of pricing it is very reasonable when compared to other top of the line factory mikes out there, and unlike some of the custom studio equipment available, it works right out of the box, no mods, and no finger pointing.

Excellent Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
You can pay more, but the quality is no better than Yaesus best. MD 100 will always be in my shack
