Very poor transceiver Time Owned: more than 12 months.
One of my first transceivers. . .They were known as the 7-drifty 3´s, and they meant it.

Had excellent power output, nice kit, but you would get carpel tunnel chasing people up and down the band. extremely severe drift. . .on both that I had.

Drift was curtailed somewhat by installing a 100 watt bulb inside the cabinet, and left on. The heat would keep the components warm enough to where it would not drift as bad. But, even then, expect enough drift to which you would have to retune every time the other person keyed up on the mic.

CW had a slight chirp. Never was able to get rid of that.

AM worked the best. You inserted a carrier, but what made AM work, was the band width of AM. . .It was wide enough to where you were not tuning all over the place every time the other person keyed up.

I would NOT recommend this to anyone. . .

I still have mine. . after 40 years. I would feel bad pawning it off to some unsuspecting soul.
