Great Time Owned: more than 12 months.
This is an excellent antenna for 10 or 12 meter use. You can purchase an extra whip so you can cut one for 10 and one for 12. If your rig has a built in tuner you can use it on 10 and 12 with one whip. The the 'Lil' Wil, and Wilson 500 models I would stay away from. Best bests are the Wilson 1000 and 5000 models which use a 62" whip. I operated a lot of 1O meter AM from 29.0 to 29.2 Mhz with this antenna on the car. The surprisingly mag mounts work great.

so so, not what I expected Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
After contemplating replacing my existing K-40 with a Wilson 1000 after reading and hearing about the great reviews I finally got a Wilson 1000. Much to my dissapointment incoming signals were 2 -3 S units lower than with the K-40. THis isnot what I was expecting at all. I double checked all my connections. Checked SWR reading and attempted to fine tune SWR lower than 1.3:1 to see if it would help, still no change.
So I started wondering if maybe something is wrong with the Wilson I received. I'm seeing a short across the PL259 center pin to outer part of the connecter only with the loading coil connected to the base. Removed the loading coil and the cable, connecter and base checked out fine no short. SO then I checked the coil with an ohm meter and found that the center pin to the outer connecter reads 0 ohms.
Can someone that has a Wilson 1000 please confirm if it's normal to show a short. Please E-mail me. Thanks N8IWK

Super Antenna Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I purchased another one of these and was able to work Alabama and Florida with the antenna mounted on the clothes dryer in my house and 25 watts from a HTX 10 with 59 reports both ways. I live in Maine. I was quite surprised that I had someone come back to me. Imagine what it will do on a vehicle.

works! Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
Ubiquitous CB antenna is unsurpassed for 10 meter work. I have used just about every esoteric hard to tune high priced mobile hf antenna available but nothing comes close to the performance of this run through the branches spot on broad 28 gem. If you love 10 and don't mind being mistaken for a CB'er, this is the ticket!

Very versitile Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I run a Wilson 2000, very similar to the 1000. With an antenna tuner I can work 10m, 12m, and 15m with excellant results on 10 & 12 and good results on 15m.

Modifying the whip gives excellant results on 17m and 20m.

A very broad banded antenna with a low wind loading surface.

Great performing 10m antenna! Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
Let's put it this way... on my first day using this antenna mounted on the roof of my VW Golf, I worked a 'VK', 'JA', 'SV', 'IK0', 'UA3' and about 10 other European and Russian stations, all from my driveway! And my rig was a converted SSB CB running only 10 watts output! This thing gets out great!

Excellent 10M antenna Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I trimmed down a Wilson 1000 and have been using it on 10 meters (they are usually marketed for the 11M band). It's performed wonderfully. The antenna is fairly broadbanded, so you should be able to tune the antenna so the entire voice portion of the band (28.3-29.6MHz) is well under a 2:1 SWR. I'm sure the performance is not quite as good as a full-length quarter wave, but since it is only about 60" tall it allows for a more favorable mounting position (on the roof). I've talked to several other hams who are using the same antenna and they've also had good results. In my opinion it is an excellent value for the price due to the quality of workmanship and its excellent performance.
