I purchased an Icom Id 5100 and was very disappointed to find there are no fittings supplied and there was no way I was going to pay the price Icom wanted for there stand. I looked on the internet and found this unit that is made by another radio ham, I thought for the price I would give it a go and to be honest I was not expecting it to be very good but was I surprised how good it was when it landed with me. The build quality is very good and the unit is so sturdy and versatile, There is a bracket that you can fit to any radio head and that then fits onto a bracket that will fit onto a desk plate or a plate that will slide into a CD player in the car if you don't want to use the CD tray you can slide the bracket into an air vent or a cup holder the desk plate comes complete with rubber feet fitted and the unit comes complete with every thing you need all the screws and even a set of instructions so you can see how to assemble the nuts and bolts so they don't fall out in the car when you remove it from one location to another. the unit was designed for the Icom 5100 or the 2820 but comes with fitting that will allow you to use it with any face off radio. Well done Tony M6TNW what a great little unit you have designed and the people that make them for you do a very good job the quality is second to none I can understand when I spoke to you and you said you were selling lots via recommendation from people that had already purchased from you.
