Ordered the Tunematic with the Yaesu 857d interface for my mobile rig and with only a couple of times re-reading their manual had mine working as designed. The workmanship is super and the product support is even better. Will use my Tunematic on the Little Tarheel II. When the company, JT Communications says read all the enclosed information it is good advice. Make sure the DIP switches in the main unit are properly set for your antenna model, and the install will run smoothly.

I just received the tunematic auto tuner from JT Communications of Ocala Fl. to connect to my Tarheel screwdriver antenna. It was a straight forward installation and setup. I must admit you need to follow the directions and the programing will be easy. Construction is very well made, I had mine made with an amplifier connection added the unit for future use. I am sure I should have years of trouble free service I highly recommend the Tunematic tuner to everyone who has screwdriver antennas.

Purchased a TuneMatic by JT Communication in Ocala, FL.(www.tunematic.us) This auto tuning unit is installed in my pickup truck with a Little Tarheel HF screwdriver antenna. Just got and installed it, September 1st, 2014

I have tried virtually every product out there to tune this antenna other than manually. This one works. A few key points and observations; The product appears well built, inspection of the controller PCB revels good workmanship and quality components. Good construction practices were used, obviously these folks have done this before.

You must carefully follow the user installation and set-up manual. I know most of us don’t think we need to take this step, trust me, read it before you start, ham life will be easier! Installation is straight forward. The only adjustment is selection of motor current by a dip switch based of the make and model of antenna. The Tarheel was on the list.

Programming is easy, once again, if you read and follow the instructions. Had one question for the factory, left message and they called back in 10 minutes! So, finally, “in motion” HF is possible for a single operator. Unit is well built and works well, highly recommend if you use a screwdriver HF mobile antenna.

I just purchased the TuneMatic auto-tuner after having some issues with another brand tuner. Installation was very easy. This unit works based on stored memory positions so it doesn't keep the transmitter continually keyed like the unit I replaced. There are several modes of operation...the antenna can be manually tuned up or down, or the user can use the automatic tune mode.
Customer support is very good and quick to respond.
Highly recommend this product.
