Gets the job done Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I just bought one of these and have been using it for one day now. Have managed to make a few CW contacts on a day when there is almost no traffic on the band and conditions are described as "poor". Resonating the antenna is simple if tedious (but resonating is always tedious). Out of the box the resonant frequency was well below the 30 meter band. I ended up shortening each of the whips by about 8 inches. I resonated the antenna at 10.120 MHz with SWR of 1.6. Bandwidth for SWR < 2.0 is about 100 KHz which is fine for the 30 meter band. No need for a tuner. The antenna is 31 feet off the ground. I found that rotating the antenna made a significant difference to SWR. Rotating it 90 degrees dropped the SWR at resonance from 2.0 to 1.6.

Best indoor 30M solution Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I've been off air for 13+ years due to having retired to CC&R apartment. But got the bug to get back on HF CW again. No outside antennas allowed, so antenna must fit inside apartment.
Being a CW man, 30M seemed the logical choice. So I bought the MFJ-2230 and the MFJ-1819 tripod/stand on which to mount the antenna. It's in my ground-floor living room, about 7 feet above street level.
Using an LDG IT-100 autotuner with my IC-7200 the LED SWR indicator shows only one pixel when tuned up. SWR must be under 1.2:1.
I've made about 100 QSOs with it so far, 25 of which have been DX. Best DX a pair of ZLs. Need Asia for W.A.C.
For under $45 this antenna is wonderful and the answer to an apartment dweller's dream.
Now I'm considering adding the MFJ-2212.
