Best Mobile Antenna In A Small Form/w Spring Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
I have been using a 37 inch mag mount that kept hitting the garage ceiling. I changed over to this antenna with a uhf fitting model, into a Diamond trunk mount, but mounted on my roof railing. Stunning results. This 15 inch antenna is very well built with a base spring. It gets out as good or better than my 37 inch mag mount antenna. I have it grounded to a bolt in the roof rail. Well worth the extra cost for Diamond quality. SWR out of the box was 1.2/1 across the band. This is a permanent keeper and has replaced my mag mount.

Compact, good match right out of the box. A little pricey. Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I was looking for a compact dual band antenna to place on my Hustler MK2 ground plane kit for a semi-permanent/portable dual band base antenna. I wanted a chrome/polished aluminum look, to match the ground plane kit. This antenna fills the need.

Pros: Flat SWR barely above 1:1, nearly dead-on 50 ohm match on both 2m and 70m. Nice polished finish. No tuning required. Worked straight from the factory. Compact, about 3 inches shorter than a 2m quarter wave. Has a spring to absorb inevitable knocks from putting it up and taking it down.

Cons: $40, but everything decent in ham radio is pricey.

I recommend it.

Excellent performance and top quality fit-finish Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Pros:
This antenna produces great results for me on my NMO mount (chrome) adapter mounted on my SUV roof. As expected, out of the box, <=1.5:1 SWR on both supported bands. I am very happy with the results. And, it looks very good.

Cons: (minor)
The spring is too stiff in my opinion. Though very high speed travel with strong head winds would definitely not bend the whip much, if at all, it also would not bend the spring (I thinks that's a good thing). However, the whip needs to "give" (bend) too much before the spring will budge.

On balance, I would strongly recommend this antenna (and send my "cons" section to Diamond R&D).
