calibration problem Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I just bought the MFJ-894.
I have done some measurements verifying that it incorrectly measures reflected power, affecting the SWR measurement.
The variable trimmers for the reflected power seem to me have incorrect values (assembly error), because some of them are already at their maximum.
Could someone please tell me the correct values for the VR11, VR12 and VR13 trimmers?
Thank you in advance,

Accurate Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I've had this meter for a few years. I really like the big, easy to read (for my old eyes) meter.

I checked it against my Bird meter, it was calibrated right by MFJ.

JUST DON'T TOUCH THE METER WHILE IT'S OPERATING. I thought I saw a bit of debris on the clear face of the meter, when I tried to rub it off, both needles jumped way up. They took over a day to return to normal.

I would buy this again.

Great for demos or the shack! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have been using this meter for the last two years. It works Flawlessly every time I use it. It’s great to be able to just glance over and see what my SWR is as I am tuning a magnetic loop. It’s also fun to actually watch the power as I turn it up to 100 W. Yes, 100 W into my magnetic loop. This also is the only meter I could find that was large enough for small classroom demonstrations. So for me this meter is a win-win!

Calibration Issue Resolved Time Owned: more than 12 months.
This is a follow up to my review submission of 12/21/2014 concerning the calibration problem with an MFJ-894 SWR/Wattmeter.

MFJ was kind enough to provide me with the necessary information so I could recalibrate the meter, and as a result, the problem has been resolved.

Customer support and documentation is everything when items exceed the warranty, and with the proper documentation one can affect a repair, in most cases without incurring considerable expense.

Therefore, I commend MFJ for providing the necessary information so I could resolve the issue without having to ship the item back to MFJ for repair.

I will continue to purchase and use MFJ products in the future and as I have done for 35 years.
